ಮೈಸೂರು, ಮಾ.೦೬,೨೦೨೬: ಮೈಸೂರು ಮೃಗಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ಕುರಿತು ಅರಿವು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ನಿರೂಪಣೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ (Nature Interpretation Centre) ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ಬಜೆಟ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ದೊರೆತಿದೆ.
ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ಮೃಗಾಲಯದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕಿ ಅನುಷಾ ಅವರ ಜತೆ ಜಸ್ಟ್ ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿತು,
ಬಹಳ ಹಳೆಯ ಮೃಗಾಲಯವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಇದುವರೆಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರೂಪಣೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಸ್ಥಳದ ಅಭಾವವೇ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಮೃಗಾಲಯದೊಳಗಿನ ಹಳೆಯ ಕಟ್ಟಡ (ಪ್ರವೇಶ ದ್ವಾರದ ಬಳಿ) ಖಾಲಿಯಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ನಿರೂಪಣೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಸಕ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಈ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ, ಜೀವ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆ, ಪರಿಸರ ಸಮತೋಲನ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡುವ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗಳು ಇರಲಿವೆ. ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗಳು, ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು, ಮಾದರಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವಿವರಣಾತ್ಮಕ ಫಲಕಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುವವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಸರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು, ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರಗಳು, ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಗಳು, ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ಕುರಿತ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಿತ ಪ್ರವಾಸಗಳು ಕೂಡ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಇರಲಿದೆ.
ಈ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಯಿಂದ ಮೈಸೂರು ಮೃಗಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುವವರಿಗೆ ಮನರಂಜನೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಪರಿಸರ ಹಾಗೂ ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಮೃಗಾಲಯದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕಿ ಅನುಷಾ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.

SUMMARY:
Mysuru: Approval has been granted in the budget to establish a Nature Interpretation Centre at the Mysuru Zoo to enhance awareness about nature and wildlife, said Zoo Director Anusha.
Although Mysuru Zoo is one of the oldest zoos, it did not have an interpretation centre so far due to a lack of space. However, with an old building inside the zoo now lying vacant, plans have been made to set up the Nature Interpretation Centre there.
The centre will feature exhibits explaining wildlife conservation, biodiversity, ecological balance, and environmental protection. Visitors will be educated about nature and animals through digital displays, photographs, models, and informative panels.
The centre will also host environmental education programmes, workshops, awareness lectures, nature-related film screenings, and guided tours for students and visitors.
Officials said that the establishment of this centre will help visitors to the Mysuru Zoo gain knowledge about environmental and wildlife conservation along with recreation.
