ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು,ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್,16,2025 (www.justkannada.in): ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸೇನಾ ಕ್ಯಾಂಟೀನ್ ಮಾದರಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರಕಾರಿ ನೌಕರರಿಗೆ ದಿನನಿತ್ಯದ ಬದುಕಿಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ವಸ್ತುವೂ ರಿಯಾಯಿತಿ ದರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಗಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಉದ್ದೇಶದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸರಕಾರಿ ಸ್ವಾಮ್ಯದ ಎಂಎಸ್ಐಎಲ್ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಸೂಪರ್‌ ಮಾರ್ಕೆಟ್‌ ಆರಂಭಿಸುವ ಚಿಂತನೆ ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ಬೃಹತ್‌ ಮತ್ತು ಮಧ್ಯಮ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಸಚಿವ ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಸಚಿವ ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಅವರು ಖನಿಜ ಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಸೆಲ್ವಕುಮಾರ್‌, ಎಂಎಸ್ಐಎಲ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಮನೋಜ ಕುಮಾರ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಇತರ ಹಿರಿಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಸುತ್ತಿನ ಸಭೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು.
ಬಳಿಕ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಸಚಿವ ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಅವರು, ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಪೊಲೀಸ್, ಅರೆ ಸೇನಾ ಪಡೆಗಳ ನೌಕರರಿಗೆ ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಕ್ಯಾಂಟೀನ್ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯವಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ 6 ಲಕ್ಷ ಸರಕಾರಿ ನೌಕರರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಹಿತದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಇಂಥದ್ದೊಂದು ಉಪಕ್ರಮ ಆರಂಭಿಸುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಚಿಂತನೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಬ್ಸಿಡಿ ಅಥವಾ ತೆರಿಗೆ ವಿನಾಯಿತಿ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಹೇಗೆಂದು ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಜತೆ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಒಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂತಹ ಸೂಪರ್‌ ಮಾರ್ಕೆಟ್‌ ಮಳಿಗೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯಾಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಕುರಿತು ತಮಗೆ ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಸ್ತೃತ ವರದಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವಂತೆ ಎಂಎಸ್‌ಐಎಲ್‌ಗೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಉದ್ದೇಶಿತ ಎಂಎಸ್ ಐಎಲ್ ಸೂಪರ್‌ ಮಾರ್ಕೆಟ್‌ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸರಕಾರಿ ನೌಕರರ ದಿನನಿತ್ಯದ ಬದುಕಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ದವಸ-ಧಾನ್ಯದಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು ಎಫ್‌ ಎಂಸಿಜಿ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಪದಾರ್ಥವೂ ರಿಯಾಯಿತಿ ದರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಗುವಂತಾದರೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಮೊದಲ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ 4-5 ಮಳಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯುವ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಇದೆ. ನಂತರದ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಇಂತಹ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ವಿಸ್ತರಣೆಗೆ ಮುಂದಾಗಬಹುದು. ಒಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ವರದಿ ಬಂದ ನಂತರ ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಇದರಿಂದ ಸರಕಾರಿ ಸ್ವಾಮ್ಯದ ಎಂಎಸ್ ಐಎಲ್ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯೂ ವಿಸ್ತಾರಗೊಂಡು, ಆದಾಯದ ಮೂಲವೊಂದು ಸಿಗಲಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ಸರಕಾರಿ ನೌಕರರ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಗೂ ಇದರಿಂದ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರಕಾರಿ ನೌಕರರ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳ ಜತೆ ಮಾತುಕತೆ ನಡೆಸುವಂತೆಯೂ ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಅವರು ಸೂಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಎಂಎಸ್ ಐಎಲ್ ನ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು ಈಗ ಸೀಮಿತ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿವೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಕಸುವು ತುಂಬಿ, ಆರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಸದೃಢಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ತಮ್ಮದಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಅಪಾರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಮತ್ತು ಪರೋಕ್ಷ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಗಳು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗಲಿವೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Plan to Launch MSIL Supermarkets for Government Employees on the Lines of Police Canteens: M. B. Patil
Bengaluru: Large and Medium Industries Minister M. B. Patil has said on Wednesday that the State Government is mulling over a proposal to establish supermarkets for its employees through the state-owned Mysore Sales International Limited (MSIL), modelled on police and army canteens. The initiative aims to make all essential daily-use items available to State Government employees at discounted prices.
In this regard, the Minister held a preliminary round of discussions with Industries Department Principal Secretary S. Selvakumar, MSIL Managing Director Manoja Kumara, and other senior officials.
Briefing the media later, Mr Patil said that similar canteen facilities are available to defence and para military personnel. Karnataka has around six lakh government employees, and the proposed plan seeks to benefit their families. He added that discussions would be held with the Finance Department to explore the possibility of availing subsidies or tax exemptions for the initiative. The Minister informed that MSIL has been directed to submit a detailed feasibility report within a month on establishing such supermarkets.
Reiterating his vision, the Minister said that the intention is that our government employees too should be able to access groceries and other essential FMCG products at discounted rates through the proposed MSIL supermarkets. Initially, four to five outlets are planned to be opened in Bengaluru, with a view to later expanding the facility to district headquarters across the State. However, the decision will be arrived at after receiving the feasibility report, he said.
He added that the initiative would help expand the scope of operations for the State-owned MSIL and provide it with an additional source of revenue, while also benefiting lakhs of government employees and their families. The Minister has directed MSIL to hold consultations with associations representing State Government employees in this regard.
Mr Patil further observed that MSIL’s current operations are relatively limited, and he intends to infuse new vigour into the organisation to make it financially stronger. He expressed confidence that the proposed initiative would generate a substantial number of direct and indirect employment opportunities across the State.
