ಇಂದು ನಡೆದ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ನಿಂದ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಶೃಂಗಸಭೆಯ ಕರ್ಟನ್ ರೈಸರ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾಂಛನ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಸಚಿವ ಎಂ.ಸಿ ಸುಧಾಕರ್, ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ ಇರುವ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಾಧಾರಿತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡುವ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿರುವ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ಟು ಕರಿಯರ್ ಶೃಂಗಸಭೆಯು ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಈ ಶೃಂಗಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ತಜ್ಞರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಒಂದೆಡೆ ಸೇರಿ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಿ, ರಾಜ್ಯದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಡುವಂತಹ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡುವ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಬದಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಬದಲಾದ ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತವಾಗಿ ನಾವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಧಾರಿತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಜ್ಜುಗೊಳಿಸುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಶೃಂಗಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ ಇರುವ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಆಯಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಯಂತ್ರೋಪಕರಣಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಜ್ಜುಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಆಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಈಗ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯ. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಹೊಸ ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವಶ್ಯಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ನೀಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರುದ್ಯೋಗ ನಿವಾರಣೆಗೂ ಈ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಲಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳು ಈ ಎರಡು ದಿನದ ಶೃಂಗಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವಶ್ಯಕವಾಗಿ ಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಮತ್ತು ಅವಕಾಶಗಳ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟಂತೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಂಡಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಡಾ. ಎಂ.ಸಿ ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
ರಾಜ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀತಿ
ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ನೂತನ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀತಿ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಪಟ್ಟಂತೆ ಮುಂಬರುವ ಸಚಿವ ಸಂಪುಟ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿರುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀತಿಗೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಉಳಿದಂತೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿನ ಉತ್ಕೃಷ್ಟತೆ ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಪಟ್ಟಂತೆ ಕೆಲವು ಚರ್ಚೆಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಆ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕೆಲವು ಸಚಿವರು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀತಿಯ ಕರಡನ್ನು ಓದುತ್ತಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ವಿಳಂಬವಾಗಿದೆ. ಸದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀತಿ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಸಚಿವ ಸಂಪುಟ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿದೆ ಎಂದರು
ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮುಕ್ತ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟಂತೆ, ಸರ್ಕಾರ ನಿರ್ಭಂಧ ಹೇರಿದ್ದರೂ ಸಹ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಉಚ್ಚ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿಪಡಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಆದೇಶ ನೀಡಿದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಒಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದರು.
ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಮುಕ್ತ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಲ ಸಚಿವರ ನೇಮಕ ಮಾಡಿ ಹಿಂಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಕೊರತೆ ಕಾರಣ ಎಂದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದ ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ.ಎಂ.ಸಿ ಸುಧಾಕರ್, ಮುಕ್ತ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ನಿಯಮಾವಳಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕುಲಸಚಿವರ ನೇಮಕ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರಿಗೆ ಒಳಪಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಕುಲ ಸಚಿವರನ್ನು ನೇಮಕ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಕಾನೂನು ನಿಯಮಾವಳಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಕುಲ ಸಚಿವರ ಆದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹಿಂಪಡೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಡಾ. ಎಂ.ಸಿ ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

Higher Education Minister Dr. M.C. Sudhakar stated that the “Campus to Career” C2C Summit has been organized with the vision of providing skill-based education to students in higher education, thereby enabling and creating employment opportunities.
Speaking after releasing the logo at the curtain raiser event of the “Campus to Career” Summit held today, he said that the two-day summit, scheduled to be held in May, is a significant step by the State Higher Education Department. The initiative aims to equip students in government colleges and universities with globally relevant and industry-required skills.
He further explained that the summit will bring together leading industrial organizations, academic experts, and the government on a common platform to deliberate and develop education models that enhance employment opportunities for students in the state.
Highlighting the changing global landscape of higher education, Dr. Sudhakar emphasized that adapting to these evolving concepts and equipping students with skill-oriented education is a key priority. In this direction, the summit will focus on integrating industry-required skills into academic curricula and preparing students with practical exposure and technological competence.
He noted that change is inevitable, and aligning the education system with new concepts and industry needs will play a crucial role in addressing unemployment among students.
Dr. Sudhakar also mentioned that reputed industrial companies from across the state will participate in the two-day summit and share their perspectives on education, employment, and emerging opportunities relevant to students.
The event was attended by Commissioner of Collegiate Education Manjushree, Secretary of Skill Development Department Manoj Kumar Meena, Secretary of Higher Education Department Khushbu Choudhary, Higher Education Minister Dr. M.C. Sudhakar, representatives from Manipal Academy including Ekalavya Baroch, Chairman of Elets Techno Media Dr. Ravi Gupta, Anurag Gupta, along with officials from agriculture, skill development, and education departments, as well as industry leaders.
State Education Policy
The state government is likely to take a decision regarding the new State Education Policy in the upcoming cabinet meeting. The education system in higher education has already been aligned with the proposed policy. Discussions are ongoing to ensure the maintenance of academic excellence, and some ministers are currently reviewing the draft policy, which has led to a delay. A cabinet decision on the State Education Policy is expected soon, he said.
Karnataka State Open University
Responding to a question regarding a recent event held at the State Open University, the Minister clarified that although the government had imposed restrictions, the program was conducted following directions from the High Court, which did not obstruct the event.
Regarding the recent appointment and subsequent withdrawal of the Registrar, he clarified that the issue arose due to lack of information. As per the university’s rules and regulations, the appointment of the Registrar falls under the authority of the Governor. Since the government’s appointment did not comply with the university’s legal framework, the order appointing the Registrar was withdrawn, Dr. M.C. Sudhakar explained.
