ಮೈಸೂರು,ಜೂನ್,12,2025 (www.justkannada.in): ಇಂದು ಮಹಾರಾಣಿ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಕಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಿಗೆ ಏಷಿಯನ್ ಡೆವಲಪ್ಮೆಂಟ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಜೊತೆ ಸಂವಾದ ನಡೆಸಿದರು.
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಮತ್ತು ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಏಷಿಯನ್ ಡೆವಲಪ್ಮೆಂಟ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ (ADB) ನಡುವೆ ಆಗಿರುವ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪರಿವರ್ತನಾ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತರಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ 2023ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದ ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ಯರೂಪಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಅದರ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ADBಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರುಗಳಾದ ಫೂಕ್ ಎನ್ ಚಾಂಗ್, ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಫೈಜ್ ಶೌಲ್ ಹಮೀದ್, ನಹ್ಯೂಮ್ ಕಿಮ್, ಪೂನಂ ಶರ್ಮಾ ಬಾಂಬ್ರಿ, ಶೌನ್ ಎಂ ವೆಲ್ ಬೌರ್ನ್ ವುಡ್, ಯಶಪಾಲ್ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕ್, ಸ್ಯಾಮ್ಯೂಯಲ್ ಕೆ ಅ್ಯಂಗ್, ಡೇವಿಡ್ ಮತ್ತು ಲೇಹ್ ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ ಮ್ಯಾನಸ್ ಅವರು ಇಂದು ಮಹಾರಾಣಿ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಕಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಮಹಾರಾಣಿ ಮಹಿಳಾ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ಡಾ. ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ರೆಹಮಾನ್ ಎಂ ಅವರು ಎರಡು ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ನಂತರ ಎಡಿಬಿ ತಂಡದ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಮಹಾರಾಣಿ ಕಲಾ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ಪ್ರೊ. ರಾಜಶೇಖರಮೂರ್ತಿ ಎಂ.ಎಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಮಹಾರಾಣಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ಡಾ.ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ರೆಹಮಾನ್ ಎಂ, ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಜೊತೆ ಸಂವಾದವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು, ಹಳೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ಪೋಷಕರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಂವಾದವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಿದರು.
ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಗಣ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಮೈಸೂರು ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಜಂಟಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕಪ್ರೊ.ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್ ಬಿ ಅವರು, ಎಡಿಬಿ ಜೊತೆಗಿನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ತರಲಿದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪಡಿಸುವತ್ತ ನಾವು ಗಮನಹರಿಸಬೇಕಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಪಟ್ಟರು.
ಕಾಲೇಜು ಮತ್ತು ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಡಾ. ಶೋಭ ಜಿ, ವಿಶೇಷ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಪ್ರೊ. ರಮೇಶ್ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

As Part of the Karnataka Higher Education Transformation Project, an initiative of an MOU between Department of Higher Education, Government of Karnataka, and Asian Development Bank (ADB), for upgrading the infrastructure, enhancing the infrastructure, basic facilities and instill employability skills among students in Government First Grade Colleges, Polytechnic colleges and Engineering colleges across Karnataka, The ADB Team paid its initial visit to the Maharani’s Arts & Maharani’s Science College for Women (Autonomous), Mysuru on 12-06-2025 (today).
The 4 year project initiated two years back in 2023 is now ready for take-off. A team of 9 members which includes scholars and experts from diverse fields {Fook Yen Chang, Principal Social Sector Specialist (SG-HSD); Mohammad Faiz Shaul Hamid, Senior Labor Economist ADB; Nahyum Kim, Higher Education Specialist, Co-mission lead for the project, ADB; Poonam Sharma Bhambri, Senior Project Officer (Education) SG-HSD; Shaun M Wellbourne – Wood, Higher Education Expert ADB; Yashpal Malik, Procurement and Project Implementation Expert, ADB; Samuel K. W. Ang. Higher Education Innovation specialist, ADB; David EV, Renewable Energy, Research Development, TVET and Leah McManus, Workforce development, health, healthcare information and intelligence system, Project Implementation)
The programme started by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries. In his welcome speech Prof. Chandrashekar B, Joint Director of Department of Collegiate & Technical Education Mysuru Region said, “A lot more has to be done in the field of higher education. We need to take steps to fill the skill gap among students. This initiative by DCTE will provide opportunities for students to excel”.
Dr. Abdul Rahiman M., Principal, Maharani’s Science College for Women (Autonomous) presented the various activities conducted in the college achievements of students & faculty along with the future plan for the development of the Maharani’s Arts & Science colleges. The team conducted interactions with principal of the colleges Prof. Rajashekaramurthy M. S & Dr. Abdul Rahiman M, staff, students, alumni and parents.
Dr. Shobha G, Director, Department of Collegiate & Technical Education, Prof. Ramesh Reddy, Special Officer, DCTE were among those who visited as part of the team. Officials from the office of the Joint Director and the Teaching & Non teaching staff of both Arts & Science colleges were present.
