You say don’t know the meaning of bribe: Why don’t you agree for an investigation – Former CM Siddaramaiah

Mysuru, August 26, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “The Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai the contractors’ association which is alleging 40% commission against the BJP government, to appeal before the Lokayuta. We have provided the documents to the people who do judicial enquiry. You people claim to be honest. Then why don’t you agree to face the investigation,” challenged leader of the opposition Siddaramaiah.
An interaction program on the present political situation in the State was held at the Mysuru District Journalists Association today, with the former Chief Minister. MDJA President S.T. Ravikumar, Chief Secretary Subramanya and others were participated.
During the interaction Siddaramaiah informed, “the BJP has completed three years in power in the State. It is not a government which came to power by the people’s mandate. It is not an elected government. It is an unethically formed government. They had won only 104 seats in the last elections. But the percentage of vote was more for Congress. The Congress had earned 38.14% votes, where as the BJP had received 34%, followed by JDS 18%. Though they won more number of seats, there was shortage. Hence, it cannot be people’s mandate. It means people did not bless the BJP. Later, as everyone knows BSY purchased MLAs, and came to power through back door entry. After that BSY was the CM for two years and Basavaraj Bommai has completed one year. In the 2018 manifesto they had given several promises. They have already completed four years. But they have not fulfilled even 10% of the assurances mentioned in the manifesto,” he alleged.
