Bengaluru, Nov. 13, 2020 (www.justkannada.in): The Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka has allowed firing of green crackers based on certain conditions during this Deepavali celebrations.
After hearing the PIL trial on prohibiting all types of crackers, the Hon’ble court has permitted sale and firing of green crackers. It has also asked the Police to visit all the stalls selling crackers and ensure that only green crackers are being sold and take precautions to prevent sale of other crackers.
It has also directed the local administration to assess the sound and air pollution levels and asked the Government and BBMP to submit a report regarding implementation of court orders.
