Veteran actor Prakash Raj donates Appu Express Ambulance to Mission Hospital in Mysuru: Becomes emotional.

Mysuru, August 6, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Renowned actor Prakash Raj donated an ambulance in the name of ‘Appu Express’ to the Mission Hospital in Mysuru today in memory of the late actor Puneeth Rajkumar.
Speaking on the occasion, Prakash Raj expressed his view that we should not keep quiet just remembering his name and his good works. “If we want to make him be alive among us, we should continue what he was doing. I had acted in 3 movies with Puneeth and we had a cordial relationship. Nobody used to know his social works. Puneeth had also contributed for the help that I had provided during Corona. But he had never revealed it anywhere,” he said.
Blood bank in name of Appu at Mission Hospital
“We will open a blood bank in Mission Hospital in two-three months. Appu Express will be launched in all the 30 districts of the State. I won’t hesitate to approach my friends seeking their contribution for the social works that I do in the name of Appu. I have lot of friends. They will definitely help me if I ask. We are all committed to uphold Appu’s name and his services,” he observed.
“There is a reason for contributing ambulance. I have a feeling that he could have survived if he could get ambulance service in time…? It is my objective that poor people should not face such situations,” he added.
“I can see the pain of Appu’s loss in everyone. We all faced loneliness when we lost him. I had never spoken about this anywhere till now. I have not seen him only as an actor. I have seen him since his childhood. I feel he could have survived if he would have got ambulance service. As soon as this feeling got into my mind, I swung in action. I selected the Mission Hospital because the poor people are in need of such services. During COVID pandemic we had provided food and shelter through the Prakash Foundation. Puneeth had donated money to the foundation. We had received a sum of Rs. 2 lakh from the Dr. Raj Foundation. Puneeth had helped so many people. We all should do the work that he would have done if he would have been alive for more days. We should develop his character and continue his good works,” he added.
Speaking on the occasion Director Anand Ram informed that a hotel supplier shared that Puneeth had contributed Rs. 50 thousand for his father’s treatment. “We are doing this with a view of spreading his character among everyone. The entire country should know his character and personality. He is a great person,” he said.
