MP Srinivas Prasad appeals to PM Modi to provide Rs. 10 crore grants for the development of the Buddha Research Center of UoM

Mysuru, June 21, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): MP Srinivas Prasad has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide Rs. 10 crores for the development of the Buddha Research Center, under the University of Mysore.
In his letter written to the PM, the MP Srinivas Prasad mentioned, “I am an alumnus of the University of Mysore. I am in electoral politics for the last five decades. I have been elected to the Lok Sabha from the Chamarajanagara constituency six times and two times to the Legislative Assembly. I was the Minister for Food and Civil Supplies in former PM Vajpayee’s cabinet. My five decades-long political life has been unbiased.
I will complete 50 years of electoral politics in the year 2024. The University of Mysore has come forward to provide land and financial assistance for the development of the Buddha Research Center. It is my long-pending desire. I request your honor self to kindly consider the proposal of the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mysore and grant a sum of Rs. 10 crores for the purpose,” he wrote in the letter.
