Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwathanarayana inaugurates new buildings and launches online ‘Virtual Tour’ of UoM

Mysuru, August 20, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Higher Education Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwathanarayana today inaugurated several new buildings of the University of Mysore and launched several new programs. He also launched the ‘Virtual Tour,’ on the occasion.
First, he inaugurated the Research students, new hostel building and the Center of Excellence, located on the second floor of the Computer Studies section. After that, he launched the ‘Radio Manasa,’ community radio of the University of Mysore, and the ‘Career Hub,’ formed under the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan program (RUSA), of Govt. of India.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore explained that CCTV cameras were installed to ensure the safety of the students. “There are totally 72 cameras in order to keep a keen eye on the people who enter and exit and to watch the activities,” he informed.
Dr. Ashwathanarayana watched the digital documentary prepared by the students at the Career Hub. He also launched the ‘Virtual Tour’ that provides complete details of the University campus online introduced for the first time by the University.
MP Pratap Simha, MLA L. Nagendra, Prof. R. Shivappa, Registrar, UoM, Prof. A.P. Jnanaprakash, Registrar (Exams), and others were present.
