KPCC Spokesperson M. Lakshmana criticizes state budget showing empty coconut shell

Mysuru, Mar. 09, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): KPCC Spokesperson M. Lakshmana today criticized the State Budget showing an empty coconut shell. “I had challenged to bring at least Rs.100 crore in the budget for Mysuru. But Mysuru has not been given a single paisa, Mysoreans have received empty coconut shell,” he said sarcastically.
He addressed a press meet in Mysuru today. “Including the Mysuru District In-charge Minister and several others, MLAs and several organisations were discussing what would Mysuru get, from the last 15 days. They had also proposed 16 demands including the establishment of a separate Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Dasara Authority, Tourism Authority, declaring Mysuru as Cultural City, etc.KPCC –spokesperson- M Laxman- criticized -state budget.
On the occasion, he alleged that the MP Pratap Simha of telling lies. “Pratap Simha had informed that the State Government would give grants for the Mysuru Airport and Railway terminal. But not even the name was proposed in the budget speech. Whereas grants have been announced for the development of airports at Hassan and Shivamogga,” he said.
