Former CM Siddaramaiah expresses ire on govt. for implementing anti-conversion bill


Belagavi, December 17, 2021 ( Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah has alleged malicious objective behind the State Government’s proposal introducing the anti-conversion bill.
He participated in a protest held under the banner of the Indian Christians Federation, opposing the government’s decision of introducing the anti-conversion bill. Opposing the government’s decision Siddaramaiah said, “the anti-conversion bill doesn’t protect the interests of anyone, instead it will spoil harmonious environment in the state, that is the idea of the BJP. But the Congress party will always support the Christian community. We won’t allow them to face any trouble,” he said.
Former Minister K.J. George, MLA Rajegowda, Vijaysingh, Prakash Rathod, former MLAs Ashok Pattana, Ivan D’Souza, Indian Christians Federation President Dr. Sajjan George, and others participated in the protest.
