First Karnataka Gold Jewellery shop opened in the Country

Bengaluru, Mar. 19, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Karnataka which enjoys the pride of being the only State to produce gold in the entire country is all set to create another history.
Mines and Geology Department Minister Murugesh R. Nirani who has plans to take the Department closer to the people has put the first step in this regard. Accordingly, the first government jewellery showroom is about to be established in the State soon. The Department has plans to open a chain of jewellery showrooms and it will maintain them. It has plans to introduce customized designs for the benefit of people.
“The government has decided to start the government jewellery showroom like Mysore Silk, Mysore Sandal Soap, Kaveri Handicrafts (Handlooms),” he explained.
“These jewellery showrooms will be opened by the Mines and Geology Department in association with public participation. Initially, the showrooms will be opened at Bengaluru, Mysuru, and other tier-1 cities in the state. More showrooms will be opened also in other states by looking at the response,” he added.
