Contractor writes letter pleading for mercy killing: Strong evidence to prove it is 40% State Govt. – Former CM Siddaramaiah

Mysuru, October 31, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “A civil contractor has written a letter to the Hon’ble President alleging the State Govt. of demanding commission without paying the bill amount, and pleading mercy killing. It is a strong evidence to prove that the State Government is 40% government,” observed leader of the opposition in the assembly Siddaramaiah.
Speaking in Mysuru today, he said, “A person named Basvaraj Amaragola had supplied some equipment to the Chikkamagaluru Zilla Panchayat, Mudigere, Kadur and other places during COVID-19 Pandemic time. He had supplied the equipment following the State and Union Government orders. Two years have passed, but he has received only 20% of the invoice amount. He has met the Chief Minister twice requesting for the payment of the remaining amount. He also has met the Chief Secretary to the Government, Rural Development Department and Under Secretary tool. But as nothing gave results, he wrote a letter to the Hon’ble President of India alleging that these people are demanding 35-40% commission, and he is not in a position to give it. “Please help me in getting my money or grant mercy killing. This is a strong evidence to prove it is 40% commission government running in the state,” alleged Siddaramaiah.
Further he said, “Minister MTB Nagaraj had attended the final rites of police inspector Nandish who lost his life recently due to heart attack. While speaking with the Police personnel he said, if you get transfer by paying Rs.70-80 lakh this is what will happen.’ These words are not told by some stranger. He is a Minister in the State cabinet. Nandish had paid Rs.70-80 lakh by getting loan. He was suspended for some reason. As a result of that he suffered a heart attack and died. Who is responsible for this? Is it not the State Govt.? Either the Chief Minister or the Home Minister might have definitely received this amount. What moral rights do they have to continue in that position,” Siddaramaiah questioned.
