Consider teachers who died of COVID as Corona warriors and announce compensation: Former CM HDK

Bengaluru, May 24, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has demanded the State Government consider all the teachers who died of the COVID-19 Pandemic as Corona warriors and declare compensation to their families.
In his tweet, the former CM mentioned that “In Hyderabad-Karnataka alone 145 teachers have lost their lives due to the pandemic while on duty. They were engaged in election-related works and the Vidyagama scheme. The exact number of teachers who have lost their lives due to the pandemic across the state is yet to be ascertained. The State Government should consider all the teachers who lost their lives due to the pandemic as Corona warriors and announced Rs.50 lakh compensation.”
