Centre withdraws three agriculture amendments: Pro-farmer organizations welcome PM Modi’s decision

New Delhi, November 19, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The Union Government has at last bent down in front of the farmers who are protesting for the last year demanding the Union government to withdraw its amended agriculture policy.
Addressing the nation today Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the three amended agriculture policies would be withdrawn.
He also urged the protesting farmers to withdraw their protest and return home. “We had implemented the three new amendments in our attempt to improve the economical and social condition of the farmers. It was made keeping in mind the interests of the marginal farmers. All three laws were completely beneficial for the farmers. We had implemented it keeping in mind the benefit of only the farmers. We also tried a lot to create awareness among the farmers about this. But a few farmers though their suggestions were agreed, have continued to protest. As a result of the constant fight from the farmers, we have decided to withdraw the three amendments,” he said.
The Samyukta Kisan Morcha, All India Kisan Sabha has welcomed Prime Minister Modi’s decision and has thanked him for withdrawing them. The All India Kisan Sabha has informed that it is a victory for the constant fight of the farmers, and also mentioned 700 farmers had lost their lives.
