ಶಿರಸಿ,ಸೆಪ್ಟಂಬರ್,20,2021(www.justkannada.in): ಉತ್ತರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮುಂಡಗೋಡ ಟಿಬೇಟಿಯನ್ ಕಾಲೋನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೌದ್ಧ ಸನ್ಯಾಸಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ಮೃತರಾಗಿ ಹತ್ತು ದಿನ ಕಳೆದರೂ ದೇಹ ಕೊಳೆಯದೇ ಯತಾಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿಸ್ಮಯ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದೆ.
ಕಾಲೋನಿಯ ನಂ.1 ಕ್ಯಾಂಪ್ ನ ಶೇರ್ ಗಾಂದೇನ್ ಬೌದ್ಧ ಮಂದಿರದ ಹಿರಿಯ ಸನ್ಯಾಸಿ ಯಾಸಿ ಪೋಂಟ್ಸ್ (90) ಮೃತರಾದವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾತೆ. ಸೆ. 9 ರಂದು ಇವರು ಕೊಠಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಧ್ಯಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವಾಗ ಮೃತರಾಗಿದ್ದು ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಅವರ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಅದೇ ಕೊಠಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.ಆದರೇ ಹತ್ತು ದಿನ ಕಳೆದಿದ್ದು ದೇಹ ನೀರು ಒಡೆಯುವುದಾಗಲಿ ,ವಾಸನೆ ಬರುವುದಾಗಲಿ,ಕೊಳೆಯುವುದಾಗಲಿ ಆಗದೇ ಯಥಾ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಿದ್ದು ಕಂಡು ಬಂದಿದೆ. 
ಇದೀಗ ಅವರ ದೇಹಕ್ಕೆ ಕಿರಿಯ ಬೌದ್ಧ ಸನ್ಯಾಸಿಗಳು ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಸನ್ಯಾಸಿಯು ಕ್ಯಾಂಪ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಕಿರಿಯ ಸನ್ಯಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಧರ್ಮ ಭೋದನೆ ಮಾಡುತಿದ್ದರು. ಇದೀಗ ಅವರು ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರೂ ದೇಹ ಯಥಾ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವುದರಿಂದ ದೇಹ ಕೊಳೆಯುವವರೆಗೂ ಅವರ ದೇಹ ಅಂತ್ಯಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡದಿರಲು ಡಿಬೇಟಿಯನ್ ಮುಖಂಡರು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Sirsi, September 20, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The body of a Buddhist monk, residing in the Mundagodu Tibetan colony in Uttar Kannada District has raised the eyebrows of many people as it has not decomposed even 10 after death.
Yasi Ponts (90) was a senior monk at the Colony No. 1 camp Sher Ganden Buddha Mandir. It is learnt that he breathed his last in a room on September 9 while meditating, where it was kept. Even after 10 days, the body is said to have not decomposed or stunk surprising many.
The Buddhist monks there have started offering pooja to the body by lighting lamps. The deceased monk was preaching to the junior monks. The other monks have decided not to perform the last rites till the body won’t decompose..
