ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ನ.12,2020(www.justkannada.in): ಕೊರೊನಾ ಸೋಂಕು ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ  ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ವರ್ಷ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಾಚರಣೆಗೆ ಬ್ರೇಕ್ ಹಾಕಲು ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದೆ.

ಎಂ.ಜಿ.ರಸ್ತೆ, ಬ್ರಿಗೇಡ್ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಹೊಸ ವರ್ಷಾಚರಣೆಗೆ ಬ್ರೇಕ್ ಹಾಕಲು ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದೆ. ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಹೊಸ ವರ್ಷಾಚರಣೆ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಮಂದಿ ಎಂ.ಜಿ.ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜಮಾಯಿಸಿ ಮೋಜು ಮಸ್ತಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಹೊಸ ವರ್ಷಾಚರಣೆ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

ಆದರೆ ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಕೊರೊನಾ  ಮಹಾಮಾರಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಹರಡಿದೆ. ಜತೆಗೆ ಚಳಿಗಾಲ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಡಿ.31ರ ಮಧ್ಯರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಾಚರಣೆಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಿದರೆ ಕೊರೊನಾ ಸೋಂಕು ಹೆಚ್ಚಳವಾಗುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಇರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂ.ಜಿ.ರಸ್ತೆ ಬ್ರಿಗೇಡ್ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಾಚರಣೆಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡದಿರಲು ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊರೊನಾ ಸೋಂಕು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ಎರಡನೇ ಹಂತದ ಭೀತಿ ಇರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಾಚರಣೆಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ  ನೀಡಿದ್ದು ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಈ ಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂದಾಗಿದೆ.

Bengaluru, Nov. 12, 2020 (www.justkannada.in): Due to increase in number of Corona cases, BBMP has planned to stop new year celebrations in Bengaluru.
It has been decided to cancel new year celebrations on M.G. Road and Brigade road, where thousands of people gather every year during new year celebrations and party.
Due to spread of Corona virus and onset of winter season there are all possibilities that the COVID-19 virus may explode due to the huge gathering in these roads on December 31, 2020 night. Hence, BBMP has decided not to allow for any kind of celebration.
