Attempt to gherao BBMP office opposing Ganesha festival guidelines: Police arrest agitators

Bengaluru, September 9, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Members of several Hindu organizations attempted to gherao the BBMP office opposing the government guidelines imposed on the celebration of the Gowri-Ganesha festival.
Several Pro-Hindu organizations have opposed the guidelines. However, the police took the agitators into custody. A wordy duel took place between the agitators and the police.
The agitators also attempted to demonstrate in front of the BBMP office along with a Ganesha idol. However, BBMP Chief Commissioner has informed that there is no change in the guidelines, and it will continue as it is. He also informed that he would bring the appeal of the people to the notice of the State Government
