Anganwadi centers to open from November 8: Govt. releases guidelines

Bengaluru, November 3, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Schools and Colleges have started functioning following a decline in the number of Corona cases in the State. Now the government has decided to commence Anganwadi centers also.
The government has permitted to open Anganwadi centers in the State from November 8 and has issued guidelines. The guidelines issued by the Women and Child Development Department are as follows:
• All the Anganwadi activists and assistants should compulsorily have taken both the doses of COVID vaccine. Parents of the children should also have taken two doses of the vaccine.
• The Anganwadi center premises should be completely sanitized and cleaned.
• Prior information should be given to the respective gram panchayat about commencing the Anganwadi center.
• Parents’ permission is compulsory to send their children to the Anganwadi centers.
• Permission will be given to open the Anganwadi centers only in places where the COVID positivity rate is lesser than 2%.
