Allegations of distributing money with Deepawali gift to journos: Cong. leader Randeep Singh Surjewala demands CM Bommai’s resignation

New Delhi, October 29, 2022 ( Congress party’s Karnataka Incharge Randeep Singh Surjewala has demanded Chief Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai’s resignation following cropping up of allegations against him of distributing money along with Deepawali sweets to journos.
Speaking in Delhi today, Surjewala demanded, “CM Basavaraj Bommai should resign. The present government in Karnataka is the most corrupt. No government will happen without bribe. Even pontiffs of mutts are forced to give commission to get grants. They have swindled Rs. 80 lakh bribe in the PSI recruitment,” he alleged.
Further he demanded a corruption case against the Chief Minister. “Such incidents had never taken place in Karnataka during Congress government. We had never offered money to journalists during our administration. If our government comes to power in Karnataka, we will conduct an investigation and ensure that the guilty are punished,” he added.
“The media in Karnataka are showcasing the corruption of the State Government. Hence, the State Govt. is luring them with money in order to conceal their corruption,” Surjewala alleged.
