ಮೈಸೂರು, ಮೇ 22, 2021(www.justkannada.in): ಚಾಮರಾಜನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಗಾಲದ ಯುವತಿ ಆಶ್ರಿತಾ ವಿ ಒಲೆಟಿ ಈಗ ಭಾರತ ವಾಯು ದಳದ ಮೊಟ್ಟ ಮೊದಲ ಫ್ಲೈಟ್ ಟೆಸ್ಟ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಆಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗುವ ಮೂಲಕ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕೀರ್ತಿ ತಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಆಶ್ರಿತಾ ವಿ ಒಲೆಟಿ ಅವರು ಇಡೀ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಏಳು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳ ಪೈಕಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿರುವ ಭಾರತದ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಏರ್ ಫೋರ್ಸ್ ಟೆಸ್ಟ್ ಪೈಲಟ್ ಸ್ಕೂಲ್‌ನಿಂದ ಪದವಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 1976ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಯಾದಾಗಿನಿಂದ ಈವರೆಗೆ ಕೇವಲ 275 ಪದವೀದರರು ಮಾತ್ರ ಈ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಆಶ್ರಿತಾ ಒಲೆಟಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಕಠಿಣ ತರಬೇತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಈ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಾಯುದಳದ ಮೊಟ್ಟ ಮೊದಲ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

It gives me a immense joy, pride and honour to announce Squadron Leader. Aashritha V Olety, Indian Air Force, becomes the First Female Flight Test Engineer of the country.
She has graduated from the prestigious Air Force Test Pilot School, one of the seven only universities in the entire world.
There are only about 275 graduates to ever clear this course ever since the course inception in 1973 and Aashritha Olety becomes the First female officer in the history of Indian Air Force to ever clear this course after strenuous trainings.
Flight Test Engineers evaluates new aircraft and systems for induction into user organisations. Most new aircraft types and major airborne systems must have ASTE’s stamp of approval to be considered fit for service in India.
Sqn Ldr Aashritha is proud daughter of Sri. O. V. Venkatesh Babu and Smt. O. V. Vani, Kollegal, Karnataka.
It is great moment of pride to set such a great history.
