ನವದೆಹಲಿ,ಆಗಸ್ಟ್,11,2021(www.justkannada.in): ಕೋಲಾರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಕೆಜಿಎಫ್ ನ ಭಾರತ್ ಗೋಲ್ಡ್ ಮೈನ್ಸ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಕೆಯಾಗದೆ ಇರುವ ಜಮೀನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಟೌನ್‍ಶಿಪ್ ( ಇಂಡಸ್ಟ್ರಿಯಲ್ ಟೌನ್‍ಶಿಪ್) ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಲು ಅನುಮತಿ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ಬೃಹತ್ ಮತ್ತು ಮಧ್ಯಮ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಸಚಿವ ಮುರುಗೇಶ್ ನಿರಾಣಿ ಅವರು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಬುಧವಾರ ನವದೆಹಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಂಸದೀಯ ವ್ಯವಹಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಲು ಸಚಿವ ಪ್ರಹ್ಲಾದ್ ಜೋಷಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಮನವಿ ಪತ್ರ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ನಿರಾಣಿಯವರು, ಕೆಜಿಎಪ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಟೌನ್‍ಶಿಪ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಮನವರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
ಕೆಜಿಎಫ್ ನ ಭಾರತ್ ಗೋಲ್ಡ್ ಮೈನ್ಸ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ಸುಮಾರು 3212 ಎಕರೆ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಡ್ರೋಣ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದುಘಿ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆ ನಡೆಸಲು ಸೂಕ್ತವಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದೆ.
ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಕೆಯಾಗದೆ ಉಳಿದಿರುವ ಜಮೀನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಟೌನ್‍ಶಿಪ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಲು ಅನುಮತಿ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ಸಚಿವರಿಗೆ ವಸ್ತುಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನಿರಾಣಿ ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಟೌನ್‍ಶಿಪ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾದರೆ ಈ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತೇಜನ ನೀಡಲು ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಕೋಲಾರ, ಚಿಕ್ಕಬಳ್ಳಾಪುರ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲ ಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಲು ಇದು ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಕೆಜಿಎಫ್ ನಗರವು ರಾಜಧಾನಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 100 ಕಿ.ಮೀ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು, ವಿಶ್ವದರ್ಜೆಯ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಗಳು, ಕೆಂಪೇಗೌಡ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ, ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.
ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಚೆನ್ನೈ-ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಕಾರಿಡಾರ್ ಕೂಡ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗುವುದರಿಂದ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಟೌನ್‍ಶಿಪ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಲು ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಮನವಿಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕೋರಿದರು.
ಕೆಜಿಎಫ್ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಗಣಿಯು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪುರಾತನವಾದ ಗಣಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷರ ಕಾಲದಿಂದಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಕಳೆದ ಹಲವಾರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಕೆಲವು ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಕಾರಣಗಳಿಂದಾಗಿ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಭಾರತೀಯ ಪರಂಪರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನಕ್ಕೆ ಅಗ್ರಸ್ಥಾನ. ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ವಿದೇಶಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷ 30 ಬಿಲಿಯ ಡಾಲರ್ (ಅಂದಾಜು 2 ಲಕ್ಷ ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ.ಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು) ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಚಿನ್ನವನ್ನು ಆಮದು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ದೇಶೀಯವಾಗಿ ರಾಯಚೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಹಟ್ಟಿ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಗಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ 2ರಿಂದ 3 ಟನ್ ಉತ್ಪಾದಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. 19 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಮುಚ್ಚಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ಕೋಲಾರ ಗೋಲ್ಡ್ ಫೀಲ್ಡ್(ಕೆಜಿಎï)ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಲು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಅನುಮತಿ ನೀಡಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
12,500 ಎಕರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನ
ಬಿಜಿಎಂಎಲ್‍ಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಗಣಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ಸುಮಾರು 12,500 ಎಕರೆಗಳಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್ ರೀï, ಮಾರಿಕುಪ್ಪಂ, ಗೋಲ್ಕೊಂಡ, ಚಿಗರಿಗುಂಟೆ, ಬಿಸಾನತ್ತಂ, ಮೈಸೂರು ಮೈನ್ಸ್, ನಂದಿದುರ್ಗ್, ಹೆನ್ರೀಸ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ 30ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನವನ್ನು ಹೊರ ತೆಗೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
ಕೆಜಿಎಫ್ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಗಣಿ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಲ್ಲೇ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಹಳೆಯದು. ಕೆಜಿಎಫ್ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಚೋಳರ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನದ ನಿಕ್ಷೇಪ ಶೋಧಿಸಿದ್ದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳಿವೆ. ನಂತರ ಫ್ರೆಂಚ್ ಭೂಗರ್ಭ ಶಾಸಜ್ಞರ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ಹೈದರಾಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಟಿಪ್ಪು ಸುಲ್ತಾನರ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನವನ್ನು ಹೊರ ತೆಗೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು ಎಂದು ಈಸ್ಟ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಕಂಪನಿ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖವಿದೆ.
ಕೆಜಿಎಫ್ ನ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಗಣಿ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಲ್ಲೇ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಆಳವಾದ ಗಣಿ. ಸುಮಾರು 3200 ಮೀಟರ್ (10,500 ಅಡಿಗಳು) ಆಳದ ಗಣಿಗಳಿವೆ. ಜತೆಗೆ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಅದಿರು ಹೊರತೆಗೆಯಲು ಸುಮಾರು 1,400 ಕಿ.ಮೀ.ಗಳಷ್ಟು ಉದ್ದದ ಸುರಂಗ ಕೊರೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ಗಣಿಯ ಆಳಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿಯಲು 30ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಶಾಪ್ಟ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಕಂಪನಿ ಉತ್ತುಂಗದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ಸುಮಾರು 35 ಸಾವಿರ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ಗಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಈ ಗಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಟನ್ ನಿಕ್ಷೇಪದಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 3.07 ಗ್ರಾಂ.ನಿಂದ 4.09 ಗ್ರಾಂ.ಗಳಷ್ಟು ಚಿನ್ನ ಲಭಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಗಣಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚುವವರೆಗೆ ಬಿಜಿಎಂಎಲ್‍ನ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಒಟ್ಟು 800 ಟನ್ ಚಿನ್ನವನ್ನು ಉತ್ಪಾದಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೂ ಮೊದಲು, ಚೋಳರ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಹೈದರಾಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಟಿಪ್ಪುಸುಲ್ತಾನರ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 6,200 ಕೆ.ಜಿ.ಗಳಷ್ಟು ಚಿನ್ನವನ್ನು ಉತ್ಪಾದಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ದಾಖಲೆಗಳ ಸಮೇತ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
ಸೂಕ್ತ ಭರವಸೆ
ಸಚಿವ ನಿರಾಣಿಯವರ ಕೋರಿಕೆಗೆ ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿದ ಕಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಲು ಸಚಿವ ಪ್ರಹ್ಲಾದ್ ಜೋಷಿ ಅವರು ಸದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ವಸ್ತುಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ನಡೆಸುವಂತೆ ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗುವುದು. ಕೆಜಿಎಫ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಟೌನ್‍ಶಿಪ್ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಕೇಂದ್ರದಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲ ರೀತಿಯ ಸಹಕಾರವನ್ನು ನೀಡುವುದಾಗಿ ಭರವಸೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

New Delhi, August 11: The abandoned gold fields at KGF may soon be converted into huge industrial township.
In an attempt to utilize the 3200-odd acres MF once a gold mine land at KGF in Kolar district, Large & Medium Industries Minister Murugesh R Nirani here on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines minister Pralhad Joshi here seeking Centre’s help and cooperation.
Nirani urged Joshi to allow Karnataka to use large tract of existing unused vacant land at KGF belonging to the now defunct Bharat Gold Mines Limited (BGML) to develop Industrial Township.
Nirani briefed Joshi about the possibilities of reviving industries in the underdeveloped KGF and surrounding areas that have huge potential for industrial growth.
“The vacant land is suitable for development of industrial park/township which can spur economic activities in the region and create a lot of employment opportunities,” Nirani noted. The Industries minister cited the findings of Mineral Exploration Corporation of India which concluded that the existing land belonging to BGML was unsuitable for further exploration. The government’s drone survey found that the 3212 acres of vacant land is suitable for development of Industrial Township.
“Further, the proximity of the National Highway along with the existing broad gauge railway line, International Airport, dry port and upcoming Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (CBIC) are also advantages for rightful utilisation and development of Industrial parks,” Nirani maintained
Responding to the demand, Pralhad Joshi promised to consider the State government’s request and take a suitable decision at the earliest. Last year he had said that the Centre was willing to hand over 3,200 acres of BGML land for an industrial park if no minerals were found during the survey.
The Kolar Gold Fields also known as KGF located 100 km from Bengaluru was established in the 1880s. It was abuzz with gold mining activities in the early 1900s, employed over 35,000 people and produced over 800 tonnes of gold and closed in 2001. It is now devoid of industries and development. Hundreds of thousands of youths from KGF, Bangarpet and other areas daily commute to Bengaluru for jobs and migrate to other cities in search of livelihood.
