ತಿರುವನಂತಪುರಂ: ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿ ಪದವಿ ಮಟ್ಟದವರೆಗೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಉಚಿತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಒದಗಿಸುವ ರಾಜ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕೇರಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದೆ.

2026–27ರ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಬಜೆಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಣಕಾಸು ಸಚಿವ ಕೆ.ಎನ್. ಬಾಲಗೋಪಾಲ್ ಅವರು, ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅನುದಾನಿತ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ಕಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಪದವಿ ಕೋರ್ಸ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಉಚಿತಗೊಳಿಸುವುದಾಗಿ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದರು. ಇದರಿಂದ 12ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ನಂತರವೂ ಉಚಿತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿದ ಮೊದಲ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಗ್ಗಳಿಕೆಗೆ ಕೇರಳ ಪಾತ್ರವಾಯಿತು.

ಬಜೆಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ 1ರಿಂದ 12ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಪಘಾತ ವಿಮೆ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ, ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಅನುದಾನ, ಪಿಎಚ್‌ಡಿ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿವೇತನ ಮತ್ತು ಫೆಲೋಶಿಪ್‌ಗಳಿಗೆ ₹38.76 ಕೋಟಿ ಮೀಸಲಿಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಆಧುನಿಕ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ, ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಒತ್ತು ನೀಡುವ “ಗ್ಲೋಬಲ್ ಸ್ಕೂಲ್” ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಗೂ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಬಲವಾದ ಸಹಕಾರ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ವಸತಿ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ನಿವಾರಣೆಗೆ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಲು ₹259.09 ಕೋಟಿ ಅನುದಾನ ಘೋಷಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಭದ್ರತೆಗೆ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಒತ್ತು ನೀಡಿರುವ ಈ ಬಜೆಟ್ ಮೂಲಕ, ಕೇರಳವು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಸ ಮಾನದಂಡವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆಯೇ ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಈಗ ದೇಶಾದ್ಯಂತ ಚರ್ಚೆಗೆ ಗ್ರಾಸವಾಗಿದೆ.
