Former KSOU VC alleges corruption in recruitment for KSOU, closure in two years

Mysuru, August 31, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Former Vice-Chancellor of the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) Prof. N.S. Ramegowda has made serious allegations of corruption in KSOU with respect to recruitment.
Addressing a press meet in Mysuru today he made serious allegations against Prof. Vidyashankar, Vice-Chancellor, KSOU about violation of rules and corruption in the recruitment of staff. He also informed that the financial position of KSOU has deteriorated and there are 60 teachers for 25,000 students. “40 teachers are recruited though there is excess staff, causing Rs.40 crore loss. The income of KSOU as of now is just Rs. 8 crore. If this continues there will be no money to pay even salaries to the staff,” he alleged.
Former Dean Prof. Chembi Puranik said that the KSOU will have to be closed in two years if corruption continues.
