ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು,ಜೂನ್‌ 02, 2025 (www.justkannada.in): ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ವಾಹನ ಮೂಲ ಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೇ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು, ಸುಸ್ಥಿರ ಇಂಧನ ಬಳಕೆಯ ಮಾದರಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ನಮ್ಮದೇ ಮೊದಲ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಇಂಧನ ಸಚಿವ ಕೆ.ಜೆ. ಜಾರ್ಜ್ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕೆಂಪೇಗೌಡ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಬಳಿ ಬೆಸ್ಕಾಂ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿರುವ ದೇಶದ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಸೌರಶಕ್ತಿ ಸಂಯೋಜಿತ ಸೆಕೆಂಡ್ ಲೈಫ್ ಬ್ಯಾಟರಿ ಇವಿ ಚಾರ್ಜಿಂಗ್ ಕೇಂದ್ರವನ್ನು ಸೋಮವಾರ ಲೋಕಾರ್ಪಣೆಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಸಚಿವ ಕೆ.ಜೆ ಜಾರ್ಜ್ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
“ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವ ಇವಿ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಚಾರ್ಜಿಂಗ್ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಮೂಲ ಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ನಮ್ಮ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಬದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೇ, ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ‘ಇವಿ ನೀತಿ’ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಬಲ ತುಂಬಿದೆ. ಇದೀಗ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ ಸಮೀಪ ಇವಿ ಚಾರ್ಜಿಂಗ್ ಸ್ಟೇಷನ್ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದರಿಂದ ಕ್ಯಾಬ್‌ ಚಾಲಕರು, ಇವಿ ಬಳಕೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಲಿದೆ,”ಎಂದರು.
“ಬೆಸ್ಕಾಂ, ಜರ್ಮನ್ ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಷನ್ ಫಾರ್ ಇಂಟರ್‌ ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಕೋ ಆಪರೇಷನ್ (ಜಿ.ಐ.ಝಡ್.) ಸಹಭಾಗಿತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಬೃಹತ್ ಇವಿ ಚಾರ್ಜಿಂಗ್ ಹಬ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ 23 ವಾಹನಗಳನ್ನು ಏಕಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಾರ್ಜ್ ಮಾಡಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಸ್ಟೇಷನ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೌರ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ತನ್ನು ಹಳೆಯ ಕಾರ್ ಬ್ಯಾಟರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇಖರಣೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಹಗಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋಲಾರ್‌ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಉತ್ಪಾದಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಬ್ಯಾಟರಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ದಿನದ 24 ಗಂಟೆಯೂ ಇವಿ ವಾಹನಗಳಿಗೆ ಸರಬರಾಜು ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಇಂಧನ ಸಚಿವ ಕೆ.ಜೆ ಜಾರ್ಜ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
“ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೇ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ವಾಹನ ಮೂಲ ಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟು 5,880 ಇವಿ ಚಾರ್ಜಿಂಗ್ ಸ್ಟೇಷನ್‌ಗಳಿವೆ. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 4,462 ಇವಿ ಚಾರ್ಜಿಂಗ್ ಸ್ಟೇಷನ್ ಗಳಿವೆ. ಈ ವರ್ಷ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ 140 ಚಾರ್ಜರ್‌ ಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
ಚಾರ್ಜಿಂಗ್ ಸ್ಟೇಷನ್ ವಿಶೇಷತೆಗಳೇನು?
ಇವಿ ಹಬ್ ನ ವಿಶೇಷತೆಯನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಡಾ. ಎನ್. ಶಿವಶಂಕರ್‌, “24 ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಇವಿ ಚಾರ್ಜಿಂಗ್ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ನೀಡುವ ದೇಶದ ಮೊದಲ ಚಾರ್ಜಿಂಗ್ ಸ್ಟೇಷನ್ ಇದಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಹಬ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ 45 ಕಿ.ವ್ಯಾ. ಸೌರ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮತ್ತು 100 ಕಿ.ವ್ಯಾ.ಹೆಚ್. ಸೆಕೆಂಡ್-ಲೈಫ್ ಬ್ಯಾಟರಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣೆ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಏಕಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ 18 ಫಾಸ್ಟ್ ಚಾರ್ಜಿಂಗ್ ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್‌ ಗಳು ಮತ್ತು 5 ಸ್ಲೋ ಚಾರ್ಜಿಂಗ್ ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್‌ ಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಟ್ಟು 23 ಚಾರ್ಜಿಂಗ್ ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್‌ ಗಳಿವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಬೆಸ್ಕಾಂ ಕೈಗೆಟುಕುವ ದರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವಿ ಚಾರ್ಜಿಂಗ್ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಒದಗಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಖಾಸಗಿಯವರ ಚಾರ್ಚಿಂಗ್‌ ದರ ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಟೇಷನ್‌ಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿದರೆ 2-3 ಪಟ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದೆ,”ಎಂದು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.

Bangalore, June 02 2025: Karnataka has emerged as a national leader in advancing electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, marking a significant step toward a sustainable energy future, said Energy Minister K.J. George.
Speaking on Monday at the inauguration of India’s first solar-integrated EV charging station, powered by second-life batteries and established by BESCOM near Kempegowda International Airport (KIAL), he highlighted the state’s strong commitment to promoting green mobility and renewable energy solutions.
“To support the growing demand for EVs in the state, our government, under the leadership of Honorable Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, is fully committed to expanding charging stations and related infrastructure. Our state’s EV policy further strengthens this commitment. The newly inaugurated EV charging station near Bengaluru International Airport will greatly benefit cab drivers and the general public using electric vehicles,” Energy Minister K J George said.
“This large-scale EV charging hub, developed through a partnership between BESCOM, the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) can charge 23 vehicles simultaneously. At this station, solar energy is stored in old car batteries. Solar power generated during the day is stored using this battery system and supplied to electric vehicles around the clock,” the Energy Minister added.
“The state is at the forefront of electric vehicle infrastructure development in the country. Karnataka has a total of 5,880 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, of which 4,462 are located in the Bengaluru Urban district. This year alone, 140 chargers have been established,” he explained.
What are the key features of the charging station?
Explaining the features of the EV hub, Managing Director Dr. N. Shivashankar said, “This is the first charging station in the country to provide 24/7 EV charging facilities.
The hub includes a 45 KW solar power system and 100 KWH second-life battery storage capacity. It features a total of 23 charging points, comprising 18 fast charging points and five slow charging points. BESCOM is offering EV charging at affordable rates. Compared to our station, private charging rates are 2 to 3 times higher,” he informed.
How to charge?
Information such as the EV charging station’s location, rates, and available slots can be easily accessed through BESCOM’s “EV Mitra” application. Alternatively, users can scan the QR code available at the station and make payment via WhatsApp to begin charging, making the process simple and convenient for all,” he explained.
