ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು,ಆಗಸ್ಟ್,31,2026 (www.justkannada.in): ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಎದುರಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಗೆ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕಂಡು ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಮಾಜದ ಸುಧಾರಣೆಗೆ ಮುಂದಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಕಚೇರಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಡಾ. ಎಚ್.ಆರ್. ಸುದರ್ಶನ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರಯ್ಯ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ(ವಿಟಿಯು), ಬಿಎಂಎಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ “ಇನ್ನೋವೇಶನ್ ಅಂಡ್ ಡಿಸೈನ್ ಥಿಂಕಿಂಗ್” ಕುರಿತು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, “ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿವೆ. ಇವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಪರಿಹಾರವನ್ನು ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯಬೇಕು. ಇದರಿಂದ ಜನರ ಜೀವನ ಸುಲಭವಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ನಾವು ಪಠ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಬದಲು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೆ ಬಯಸುವಂತಹ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ” ಎಂದರು.
“ನಾವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕವಾಗಿ ಕಲಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ನಾವು ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ತರಬೇತಿ ಪಡೆದು ಅದನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗುವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಿಸಬೇಕು” ಎಂದರು.
ಎರಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಮುರಳೀಧರ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ” ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಕೊರತೆ ಇದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ನೀಗಿಸುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ನಾವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಮಾಡೆಲ್ ಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಕಲಿತ ಮೇಲೆ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದಾಜು 14 ಲಕ್ಷ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಆಗಿ ಪಾಸಾಗಲಿದ್ದು, ಇವರಿಗೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ನೀಡುವುದು ಕಷ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಪಡೆದವರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಎಂಬಂತಾಗಿದೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ” ಎಂದರು.
ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಟಿಯು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಕಚೇರಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಡಾ. ಎಚ್.ಆರ್. ಸುದರ್ಶನ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ, ಬಿಎಂಎಸ್ಸಿಇ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ಡಾ.ಭೀಮೇಶ ಆರ್ಯ,ವಿಟಿಯು ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿ ಪರಿಷತ್ನ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ.ವಿ.ಕೇಶವ ಮೂರ್ತಿ ಇತರರು ಇದ್ದರು.

BENGALURU: Engineering students should come forward to contribute to the improvement of society by finding solutions to the problems faced by society through the use of technology, said Dr. H.R. Sudarshan Reddy, Director of the Bengaluru Regional Office.
Speaking after inaugurating a workshop on “Innovation and Design Thinking” organised by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in association with BMS College, he said, “There are many problems in society. Engineering students should find solutions to these problems. This will make people’s lives easier. Moreover, with the objective of providing practical education to students, we have changed the curriculum. Through this, we are providing education that meets the requirements of the industry.”
“We have organised this workshop with the objective of teaching students through practical methods. Professors should undergo training here and teach the concepts to students in a way that they can understand,” he said.
Muralidhar, head of Era Foundation, said, “There is a lack of skill-based education among students studying in engineering colleges across the state. To address this, we have provided practical education to students through several models. After learning these skills, it will be easier for them to get jobs directly. Every year, approximately 14 lakh students graduate in engineering in India, and providing employment to all of them is difficult. It has become a situation where only those with skills can get jobs. Therefore, there is a need for skill-based education.”
Dr. H.R. Sudarshan Reddy, Director of the VTU Bengaluru Regional Office, Dr. Bhimesh Arya, Principal of BMSCE, Prof. V. Keshava Murthy, Member of the VTU Executive Council, and others were present at the programme.
