ಮೈಸೂರು, Feb.04,2026 : ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತರ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮೆಟ್ರಿಕ್ ನಂತರದ ಬಾಲಕ–ಬಾಲಕಿಯರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಲಯ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮಂಜೂರು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಜಾಗ ಇಂದು “ಅಕ್ರಮ ಪಾರ್ಕಿಂಗ್” ಮತ್ತು ಖಾಸಗಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರದ ಅಡ್ಡೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದು ಭಾರೀ ವಿವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಕಳೆದ 15 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಈ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ಅಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಖಾಸಗಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು, ವಾಹನ ಪಾರ್ಕಿಂಗ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಟೀ ಅಂಗಡಿ ನಡೆಸಿ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಹಣ ಸಂಪಾದಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ಇದೀಗ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ.
2010ರ ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 14ರಂದು ಮೈಸೂರು ತಾಲೂಕು ಕಸಬ ಹೋಬಳಿ, ಮೈಸೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮ ಸರ್ವೆ ನಂ. 87 ರಲ್ಲಿ 0.38 ಗುಂಟೆ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತರ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಲಯ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ ಮಂಜೂರು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು.
ಈ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ಚೆಕ್ ಬಂದಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೌಂಡ್ರಿ ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಿ ತಹಸೀಲ್ದಾರ್ರಿಗೆ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಆದೇಶ ಹೊರಬಂದೂ 15 ವರ್ಷಗಳಾದರೂ ಜಾಗ ಇನ್ನೂ ಖಾಸಗಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಕಪಿಮುಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ಉಳಿದಿರುವುದು ಅನುಮಾನಗಳಿಗೆ ಎಡೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಮೈಸೂರು–ನಂಜನಗೂಡು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಧಾಮದ ಮುಂಭಾಗ ನಡೆದಿರುವ ಈ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಒತ್ತುವರಿ, ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಹೃದಯ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕೋಟ್ಯಾಂತರ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ತಿಯ ದುರುಪಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಉದಾಹರಣೆ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಸದರಿ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾರಾಜರ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿತವಾದ ಒಂದು ಮಂಟಪವಿದ್ದು, ಅದನ್ನೂ ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸದೆ ಇಡೀ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಖಾಸಗಿ ವಾಹನ ಪಾರ್ಕಿಂಗ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಟೀ ಅಂಗಡಿ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಆದರೆ ಈ ಗಂಭೀರ ಅಕ್ರಮದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತರ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾಗಲಿ, ತಹಸೀಲ್ದಾರ್ ಆಗಲಿ ಯಾವೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಚಕಾರ ಎತ್ತದಿರುವುದು ಗಂಭೀರ ಸಂಶಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಉದ್ದೇಶಿತ ಯೋಜನೆ ನೆಲಸಮವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಜಾಗ ದೋಚಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳದಿರುವುದು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯವೋ ಅಥವಾ ಮೌನ ಸಹಕಾರವೋ ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದೆ.
“ ಅಹಿಂದ” ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿಯ ಕನಸು ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತಿರುವ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ, ತಮ್ಮ ತವರು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸುವರೇ?
ಅಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಒತ್ತುವರಿಯಾದ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಉದ್ದೇಶಿತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಲಯ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬಳಸುವಂತೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಿನ ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡುವರೇ ಎಂಬುದು ಈಗ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಮಂತ್ರ ಪಠಿಸುವ ಸರ್ಕಾರ, ಕಾರ್ಯರೂಪಕ್ಕೆ ತರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಎಷ್ಟರ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಗಂಭೀರತೆ ತೋರಲಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಕಾದು ನೋಡಬೇಕಿದೆ.

A prime piece of land sanctioned by the government for the construction of post-matric hostels for boys and girls belonging to backward classes and minority communities has today turned into an illegal parking lot and a hub of private commercial activity, triggering a major controversy.
It has now come to light that private individuals have illegally occupied this land for the past 15 years, running a vehicle parking facility and a tea stall and earning lakhs of rupees.
On September 14, 2010, officials of the District Backward Classes and Minorities Department had officially sanctioned 0.38 guntas of land in Survey No. 87 of Mysuru village, Kasaba Hobli, Mysuru taluk, for the construction of a students’ hostel.
Subsequently, a letter was sent to the Tahsildar requesting fencing, boundary demarcation, and formal handover of the land.
However, even after 15 years of the government order, the land continues to remain in the clutches of private individuals, raising serious suspicions.
This illegal encroachment, located in front of Shakthidham on the Mysuru–Nanjangud National Highway, is being cited as a clear example of the misuse of government property worth crores of rupees in the heart of Mysuru city.
The land also houses a mantapa constructed during the Maharaja’s era, but ignoring its heritage value, the entire area has been illegally occupied and converted into a private vehicle parking space and tea shop.
What has further raised eyebrows is that neither officials of the Backward Classes and Minorities Department nor the Tahsildar have raised any objection to this serious illegal activity, leading to allegations of gross negligence or silent collusion.
Despite the government’s intended welfare project being stalled and valuable public land being looted, the lack of action has sparked questions over official apathy versus tacit support.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who speaks of backward class development under the AHINDA banner, is now being questioned on whether he will take note of the injustice faced by backward class students in his own home district.
The public is now waiting to see whether strict instructions will be issued to reclaim the encroached land and utilize it for the intended hostel construction.
As the government continues to preach the mantra of backward class development, how serious it is about translating words into action remains to be seen.
