VTU 25ನೇ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಘಟಿಕೋತ್ಸವ: 2 ಸಾವಿರ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳ ಭರ್ತಿಗೆ ಕ್ರಮ,  ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ. ಎಂ.ಸಿ. ಸುಧಾಕರ್ 

ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ, ಫೆ.೦೨,೨೦೨೬: ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷ ಣ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿಖಾಲಿ ಇರುವ   2 ಸಾವಿರ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳ ಭರ್ತಿಗೆ ಕ್ರಮ ವಹಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ. ಎಂ.ಸಿ. ಸುಧಾಕರ್  ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರಯ್ಯ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ (ವಿಟಿಯು)ದ   25ನೇ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಘಟಿಕೋತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ    ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು. ವಿಟಿಯು ಉತ್ತಮ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಏಷ್ಯನ್ ಡೆವಲಪ್ಮೆಂಟ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ನಿಂದ ‘ಸೆಂಟರ್ ಆಫ್ ಎಕ್ಸಲೆನ್ಸ್  ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದರು

ಮಾಹಿತಿ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ, ಜೈವಿಕ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ, ಬಾಹ್ಯಾಕಾಶ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ, ನವೋದ್ಯಮ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷ ಣ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿದೇಶ ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲ ಥಾವರಚಂದ್ ಗೆಹ್ಲೋಟ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ನೌಕಾ ನೆಲೆಯ ಫ್ಲಾಗ್ ಆಫೀಸರ್ ಕಮಾಂಡಿಂಗ್ ರಿಯರ್ ಅಡ್ಮಿರಲ್ ವಿಕ್ರಂ ಮೆನನ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ‘‘  ಶಿಕ್ಷ ಣ, ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ವಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿವಿಟಿಯು – ನೌಕಾ ಸೇನೆ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದರಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷ ಣಾ ಮತ್ತು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣ ಸವಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಎದುರಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ,’’ ಎಂದರು.

ವಿಟಿಯು ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ. ಎಸ್. ವಿದ್ಯಾಶಂಕರ್ ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಕುಲಸಚಿವ ಯು.ಜೆ. ಉಜ್ವಲ್, ಪ್ರೊ. ಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಬಿ. ರಾಂಪೂರೆ   ಇದ್ದರು.

ಪದವಿ ಪ್ರದಾನ:  

ಘಟಿಕೋತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟು 8,702 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪದವಿ ಪ್ರದಾನ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಜವಾಹರಲಾಲ್ ನೆಹರು ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಜೆ. ಪಾರ್ವತಿ ಸಲೇರಾ 4 ಚಿನ್ನ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಆರ್ಎನ್ಎಸ್ ಇನ್ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್ ಆಫ್ ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಜಿಯ ಎಚ್.ಸಿ. ಕಾವ್ಯ, ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ ಯುಬಿಡಿಟಿ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಬಿ.ಎಸ್. ಸಂಚಿತಾ ತಲಾ 3 ಚಿನ್ನ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಇನ್ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್ ಆಫ್ ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಜಿಯ  ವಿ. ಯೋಗೇಶ್ ಗೌಡ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಜೆ.ಪಿ. ನಗರದ ಆಕ್ಸ್ಫರ್ಡ್ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಿ. ರೇವಂತಕುಮಾರ್, ಬಳ್ಳಾರಿಯ ರಾವ್ ಬಹದ್ದೂರ್ ವೈ. ಮಹಾಬಲೇಶ್ವರಪ್ಪ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಬಿ. ರಾಹುಲ್ ಡೇವಿಡ್ ತಲಾ ಎರಡು ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ಪಡೆದರು.

SUMMARY:

Belagavi, Feb 02, 2026: Higher Education Minister Dr. M.C. Sudhakar said that steps have been initiated to fill 2,000 vacant posts in the Higher Education Department.

Speaking at the 25th Annual Convocation of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), he said VTU is doing commendable work and that a ‘Centre of Excellence’ is being established with assistance from the Asian Development Bank.

Governor Thawarchand Gehlot said that the state is at the forefront in the fields of information technology, biotechnology, space science, innovation culture, and higher education.

Addressing the gathering, Rear Admiral Vikram Menon, Flag Officer Commanding, Karnataka Naval Area, said that an agreement between VTU and the Indian Navy in the areas of education and research would help effectively address complex challenges in the defence and technology sectors.

VTU Vice-Chancellor Prof. S. Vidyashankar delivered the introductory address. Registrar U.J. Ujjwal and Prof. Prasad B. Rampure were present.

Degree Distribution:

A total of 8,702 students were awarded degrees at the convocation.

J. Parvathi Salera of Jawaharlal Nehru National College, Shivamogga, won four gold medals.

H.C. Kavya of RNS Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, and B.S. Sanchita of UBDT Engineering College, Davanagere, won three gold medals each.

V. Yogesh Gowda of Bangalore Institute of Technology, C. Revanth Kumar of Oxford Engineering College, J.P. Nagar, Bengaluru, and B. Rahul David of Rao Bahadur Y. Mahabaleshwarappa Engineering College, Ballari, won two gold medals each.
