ನವದೆಹಲಿ, ಆ.೧೩,೨೦೨೫: ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಆಯಿಲ್ ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಷನ್ (ಐಒಸಿ) ಪೆಟ್ರೋಲಿಯಂ ಡಿಪೋವನ್ನು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ದೇವಣಗೊಂಥಿಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳಾಂತರಿಸದಂತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಚ್ಚುದಂತೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಪೆಟ್ರೋಲಿಯಂ ಮತ್ತು ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಅನಿಲ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸಚಿವ ಹರ್ದೀಪ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಪುರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಬೃಹತ್ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೆ ಸಚಿವ ಹೆಚ್.ಡಿ. ಕುಮಾರಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮೈಸೂರು-ಕೊಡಗು ಸಂಸದ ಯದುವೀರ್.
ಮೈಸೂರು ಐಒಸಿ ಡಿಪೋ ಆರು ದಶಕಗಳಿಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಾಲ ನಿರಂತರ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು, ನಾಲ್ಕು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರ ಪೆಟ್ರೋಲಿಯಂ ಪೂರೈಕೆ ಖಾತ್ರಿಪಡಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಣಾಯಕ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಆರರಿಂದ ಏಳು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಪೂರೈಕೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಅಪಾರ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ಇದು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಈ ಡಿಪೋದ ಕಾರ್ಯತಂತ್ರದ ಸ್ಥಳ ಮತ್ತು ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲೀನ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯ ದಕ್ಷತೆಯು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಪೆಟ್ರೋಲಿಯಂ ಪೂರೈಕೆ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯದ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಇದರ ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಸ್ಥಳಾಂತರದಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾಗಬಹುದಾದ ಅನಾನುಕೂಲತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಡ್ಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ, ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಐಒಸಿ ಡಿಪೋದ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಇಲ್ಲೇ ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಲು ಅಗತ್ಯ ಕ್ರಮ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಸಂಸದ ಯದುವೀರ್ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Met Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas Shri Hardeep Singh Puri ji ( @HardeepSPuri ) and Union Minister for Heavy Industries Shri H.D. Kumaraswamy ji ( @hd_kumaraswamy )to discuss the proposed relocation and closure of the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) petroleum depot in Mysuru to Devanagonthi, Bengaluru.
The Mysuru IOC depot, operational for over six decades, plays a crucial role in ensuring uninterrupted petroleum supply to four districts and has the capacity to effectively cater to six to seven districts in the region. Its strategic location and proven operational efficiency make it an indispensable part of South Karnataka’s petroleum supply infrastructure.
Considering its regional importance and the potential disruptions that relocation could cause, I urged the Ministers to take necessary steps to retain and continue operations at the Mysuru IOC depot.
