It can be recalled here that following the announcement of establishing the Maratha Development Authority by the State Government and granting Rs.50 crore for the purpose, DCM Lakshman Savadi, Ministers B.C. Patil and other Lingayath community leaders had pressurised CM B.S. Yedyurappa to establish Veerashaiva-Lingayath Development Corporation. Yielding to pressure the CM had also announced of establishing Veerashaiva-Lingayath Development Corporation. Following this, now orders have been issued to release a sum of Rs. 500 crore.500 crore- grant -release -Veerashaiva Lingayata Development -Corporation.
