Mysuru, November 14, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar is an efficient administrator with a smiling face. Both of us are good friends,” observed T.S. Nagabharana, former Chairman of the Kannada Development Authority.

He participated in a felicitation program organized for Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, held at the Crawford Hall, in the University of Mysore today. In his address, he said, “I met Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar when I had come to Mysuru on some work related to the Central Institute of International languages. I am from Talakadu. Mysuru has its own specialty. It is my place too. Prof. Hemanth Kumar always think about preserving and development of Mysuru. Mysuru has a special place in his heart. He has given an efficient administration and educational system here. He manages everything so well with his smiling face and friendly attitude and discipline.”

“If anyone is seen with a Minister, it will usually not be regarding their personal work. Prof. Hemanth Kumar keeps visiting Bengaluru often for the works related to the University. He always thinks about the University and its works. Despite working so much and achievements he is so humble. I wish the University and the State gets many more years of his service and guidance,” he added.

“During the pandemic time he worked a lot. The University of Mysore has its own heritage. He has maintained the dignity throughout his service here. He really looks after the University as his family. He looks at everyone with a mother’s heart. However, his life is like a flower that blossomed amidst fire. We both have a close relationship,” he said.

In his address, Prof. K.S. Rangappa, former Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore said, “My friendship with Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar is over 30 years. I cannot express it in just a few words. We have worked together. He has guided me like his brother. We have travelled overseas together and share many things,” he observed. “Nowadays doing good work has become very difficult. If we don’t question anything and sign all the files, we will be considered good,” he said on a lighter note.

Suttur Math Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, Prof. S.N. Hegde, Prof. N.S. Ramegowda, Prof. R. Niranjan and others were present.

ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಕೂಲ್ ಆಫ್ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಹೊಸ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪರಿಚಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಪೋಷಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ಸೇರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಎಐಸಿಟಿಇ ಅನುಮತಿ ಪಡೆದು ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ತೆರೆದು ಇದೀಗ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷ ಮುಗಿದಿದೆ. 20 ತಿಂಗಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ 12 ಎಕರೆ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ತಲೆ ಎತ್ತಿತು. ಮೊದಲ ವರ್ಷ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಯಾವ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕೂಡ ವ್ಯರ್ಥ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಯಾವ ವಿಷಯ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡರೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಓದಬೇಕು. ಥಿಯರಿ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಕ್ಟಿಕಲ್ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು.

ಕುಲಸಚಿವ ಪ್ರೊ. ಆರ್.ಶಿವಪ್ಪ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ಸದ್ದುದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಮಾತು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ.ಜಿ.ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಕೂಡ ತೆರೆದ‌ ಮನಸ್ಸನಿಂದ, ಸದ್ದುದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸದಾ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಶೀಲರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಏನೇ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ಆತುರದಿಂದ ಮಾಡದೆ ಯೋಚಿಸಬೇಕು. ದೈಹಿಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆರೆಯಬೇಕು. ಉತ್ತಮ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಜೊತೆ ದೈಹಿಕ ಸದೃಢತೆ ಇರಬೇಕು. ಸದಾ ನಗುತ್ತಾ ಇರಬೇಕು. ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಒಂಬತ್ತು ಅಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮನಮುಟ್ಟುವಂತೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

He participated in a program to introduce the new students, organized by the School of Engineering, held at the Vignana Bhavana, in the Manasa Gangotri campus. In his address, he said, “the parents of these students have enrolled their children in our Engineering College with lot of hopes and trust. I extend my gratitude for it. The Engineering College established in our University is approved by the AICTE and has completed one year. This college building came up in 12 acre campus within 20 months time. It has successfully completed one year. No engineering course is a waste. Whichever domain may a student choose, they should love what they learn. Along with theory, they should improve their practical knowledge.”
In his address, Registrar Prof. R. Shivappa advised the students to do whatever work they like with a good purpose. “Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar has rendered very good work in the University,” he observed.
“Students should always be creative and innovative. You should think twice before doing any work. Develop a habit of physical activities in your daily lives. Have good friends, maintain good health and physical fitness. Have a smile on your faces always, love nature,” he advised.

ಮಾನಸ ಗಂಗೋತ್ರಿಯ ರಾಣಿ ಬಹದ್ದೂರು ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸುಸ್ಥಿರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಗುರಿ ಸಾಧನೆಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಪಾಲುದಾರಿಕೆ ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಡೆದ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಇಂದು ಇಡೀ ವಿಶ್ವವೇ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ತಾಪಮಾನದಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಸುಸ್ಥಿರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯೇ ಇದಕ್ಕಿರುವ ಪರಿಹಾರ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ನಾನಾ ದೇಶಗಳು ಜಾಗತಿಕ ತಾಪಮಾನ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಹೀಗಿರುವಾಗ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕವಾಗಿ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯುತ, ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಸ್ಥಿರತೆಗೆ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕಿದೆ. ಇಂದಿನ ದಿನಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಗ್, ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜ್ಮೆಂಟ್, ಸಮಾಜ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಒಳಗೊಳ್ಳುವಂತಹ ಅಂತರಶಿಸ್ತೀಯ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನಗಳ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ, ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇಂತಹ ಚರ್ಚೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವಿಚಾರಗಳ ವಿನಿಮಯದಿಂದ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸುವ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವಿಧಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಮೈಸೂರು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛನಗರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಉದಯೋನ್ಮುಖ ’ಕ್ಷೇಮ ನಗರಿ’ಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ನಗರ ಪರಿಸರವು ಅದರ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಒಳನಾಡಿನ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದಿಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ ಆಯೋಜನೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

2016 ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಯುನೈಟೆಡ್ ನೇಷನ್ ಸುಸ್ಥಿರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ  ‌ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಏಷ್ಯಾ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳ ವಿವಿಗಳು ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಿದೆ. ನಾವು ಸುಸ್ಥಿರ ಗುರಿಗಳ ಘೋಷಣೆ ಇದು ಸುಸಮಯ ಎಂದರು.

ಸದ್ಯ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ದಿನ ಈ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ ಆಯೋಜನೆ ಮಾಡಿರುವುದು ಸಂತೋಷದ ವಿಷಯ. ನವೆಂಬರ್ 7ರಂದು ಕೈರೋದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದರ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಸಮಾವೇಶ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕೂ ಮುಂಚೆ ಮೈವಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದು, ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಸಂಗತಿ  ಎಂದು ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ನುಡಿದರು.   ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಾಕ್ ಪ್ರೊ. ಲಾರೆನ್ಸ್‌ ಸುರೇಂದ್ರ, ಪ್ರೊ. ಡಿ.ಆನಂದ್  ಮತ್ತಿತರರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಮಾನಸಗಂಗೋತ್ರಿಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಜ  ಕಾರ್ಯ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ನಡೆದ ಎರಡು ದಿನದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ  ‌ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಇಂದು ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಪ್ಲ್ಯಾಟ್‌ ಫಾರಂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮುನ್ನಲೆಗೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಆನ್‌ ಲೈನ್ ಕ್ಲಾಸ್‌ ಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದಂತೆ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಪಠ್ಯಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿದೆ. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡಿ ಸ್ಮಾರ್ಟ್ ಕ್ಲಾಸ್ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿಚಾರವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಯಾವ ರೀತಿ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಪಠ್ಯವನ್ನು ಓದಬೇಕು? ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಿರುತ್ತದೆ? ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದನ್ನು ನಂಬಬೇಕು? ಎಂಬಿತ್ಯಾದಿ ಅಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು.

ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಎಂಬುದು ಈ ಶತಮಾನದ ಹೊಸ ಮೈಲಿಗಲ್ಲು. ಮುಂಬರುವ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಇದರಿಂದ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು ಆಗುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಉದೆ. ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ತಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲಾ ಚರ್ಚೆಗಳು, ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ವೇದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂತಹ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚೆಚ್ಚು ನಡೆಯಬೇಕಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಸೇತುವೆ ಕಟ್ಟಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದಿಂದ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ನಾಯಕರು ಹೊರ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಮಂದಿ ಇಂದು ನಾನಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆಧುನಿಕ ಸಿವಿಲ್ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಕಾರರಾದ ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರಯ್ಯ ಅವರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿಸೆಲೆ ಆಗಬೇಕು. ನಾನು ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಓದಿ ಇದೀಗ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಿರಂತರ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಇದು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು. ಪ್ರತಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸಾಧಕ ಇರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಅದನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಆಗಬೇಕಷ್ಟೇ,’’ ಎಂದರು.

ಸಮಾಜ ಕಾರ್ಯ ವಿಭಾಗವು ಸಮಾಜಮುಖಿ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಸಮಾಜದೊಂದಿಗೆ ನೇರ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಸಾಧಿಸಿದೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮುನ್ನಲೆಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆಧುನಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ಸರಳವೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪಾರದರ್ಶಕವೂ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಇಂದಿನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

Mysuru, October 28, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore today called upon the teachers to give priority to digital curriculum under the new National Education Policy.
He participated in the two-day national lecture program organized by the Department of Social Works, University of Mysore, held at the Vignana Bhavana, in the Manasa Gangotri premises. In his address, he said, “today the digital platform has become very important. Demand for digital textbooks is gaining importance as the online classes are increasing. The National Education Policy explains about the smart classes. How students should read digital content? where it is available? which content is credible?, etc.”
“Digital is a new milestone of this century. There are all possibilities that it will reach more number of people and will do good in the coming days. As a result of this, it might become inevitable for the educational institutions to adapt to digital platforms to conduct discussions, seminars, etc. Such lecture programs will be of immense help in this regard. It will help to bridge the gap between the teachers and students,” he observed.
“The University of Mysore has produced several leaders. Many of them have identified in several different sectors in coveted posts. People like Visveswaraiah and Swami Vivekananda should become inspiration for the youth and students. I have also studied in the University of Mysore and now have become the Vice-Chancellor. Hard work, perseverance, regular research has helped me to become what I am today. There is an achiever in every student. But it is the duty of every student to identify it,” he said.
“The Department of Social Works has involved itself deeply in its work. It has been successful in establishing a direct contact with the society. Nowadays digital concepts have come to the fore under our social system. It is also simple and transparent in the advanced educational system. The students should make good utilization of this program,” he added.

ಮಾನಸ ಗಂಗೋತ್ರಿಯ ಡಾ.ಬಿ.ಆರ್.ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಸ್ತರಣಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ 66ನೇ ಧಮ್ಮದೀಕ್ಷಾ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ‘‘ಬುದ್ಧನ ಕರುಣೆ ತತ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ನಾವು ಜೀವಿಸುವ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವ ಜಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಚರಿಸುವ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿತ್ತಬೇಕು. ಬುದ್ಧಗುರುವಿನ ತ್ರಿಸರಣ ತತ್ವವನ್ನು ಕಾಯಾ, ವಾಚಾ, ಮನಸ್ಸಾ ಪಾಲಿಸೋಣ ಎಂಬ ಘೋಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳೋಣ. ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್, ಬುದ್ಧಗುರುವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತು ‘‘ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಉತ್ಕೃಷ್ಟ  ಮನೋಭಾವದಿಂದ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮುವ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ನ್ಯಾಯವೇ ಬುದ್ಧನು ಬೋಧಿಸಿದ ಧಮ್ಮ’’ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಅರಿತು ಬಾಳೋಣ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯವು, ಬೈಲಕುಪ್ಪೆಯ ಸೆರಾಜೆ ಮೊನಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯವು ಬೌದ್ಧ  ಅಧ್ಯಯನದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ವಿಶೇಷ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಶ್ರಮಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿ. ಅರಿಯಬೇಕಾದ ವಿಷಯವೆಂದರೆ ಓದು, ಬರಹ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಉಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಚರಿತ್ರೆಯ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಬಾಬಾಸಾಹೇಬರ ಜೀವನವೇ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನದ ಬದುಕು ಬೇಕೋ ಅವರು ಬುದ್ದವನ್ನು ಆಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಬುದ್ಧನ ಚಿಂತನೆಗಳನ್ನು, ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಇಂದಿನ ಯುವ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಅರ್ಥೈಸುವ ಹೊಣೆಗಾರಿಕೆ ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಯಾರು ಬುದ್ಧಗುರುವನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೋ ಅವರುಗಳು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಭಯ, ಆಂತರಿಕ ಅಪಜಯ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಸತ್ಯವಂತರೆ ಬುದ್ಧಗುರುವಿನ ಅನುಯಾಯಿಗಳು. ದುರ್ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಉಳ್ಳವರು, ದುರಾಸೆ ಉಳ್ಳವರು, ಜಾತಿವಾದಿಗಳು ಇವರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಧಮ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಳವಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ, ಧಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ದುರ್ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಉಳ್ಳವರಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ತಪ್ಪಿನ ಅರಿವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ದುರಾಸೆ ಉಳ್ಳವರು ಧಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರೆ, ಬದುಕಿನ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಜಾತಿವಾದಿಗಳು ಧಮ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಶರಣಾದರೆ, ಮನುಷ್ಯರಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇಂದು ಈ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬುದ್ಧನ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಬೇಕಿದೆ. ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಬುದ್ಧ ಬೇಕು, ಯುದ್ಧವಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬ ಕವಿಯ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಇಂದು ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ನಾಯಕರು ಅರಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ತುಮಕೂರು ವಿವಿ ಸಮಾಜಕಾರ್ಯ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಪ್ರೊ.ಬಿ.ರಮೇಶ್  ಅವರು, ‘‘66 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಧಮ್ಮದೀಕ್ಷಾ ನಡಿಗೆಯ ಪ್ರಗತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸವಾಲುಗಳು’’ ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಬೈಲುಕುಪ್ಪೆ ಬಿಕ್ಕು ಲೋಬ್‌ ಸಂಗ್ ದೋರ್‌ ಜಿ ಪಾಲ್‌ ಜೋರ್, ಡಾ.ಎಸ್. ನರೇಂದ್ರಕುಮಾರ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಇತರರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

He participated in the 66th Dhamma Deeksha Day celebrations held at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Research and Extension Center, in the Manasa Gangotri campus today. In his address, he said, “We should seed Buddha’s tenets of compassion in the places where we live and work. Let us all pledge to follow Buddha’s principles by heart,” he said.
The University of Mysore has entered into an MoU with the Seraje Monastic University of Bylakuppe recently. The University is striving to find a special place in research of Buddha. What we all should understand here is education not only helps us to grow, but also helps us to survive and create history. The life of B.R. Ambedkar itself is a proof for this. Whoever wants a life with self-respect should adopt Buddha’s tenets. The responsibility of passing on Buddha’s thoughts and path to the youth is on our shoulders,” he said.
Prof. B. Ramesh, of the Tumakuru University Social Works Research Department, delivered a lecture on the topic, “Progress and Challenges of 66 years of Dhamma Deeksha Walk.” Bylakuppe’s Bikku Lob Singh Dorji, Paul Jor, Dr. S. Narendrakumar and others were present.

ಮಾನಸ ಗಂಗೋತ್ರಿ ಡಾ.ಬಿ.ಆರ್.ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಸ್ತರಣಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಪೂನಾ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ದಿನದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಒಂಭತ್ತು ದಶಕಗಳ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ: ವಿದ್ಯಮಾನ, ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಮತ್ತು ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳು ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಡೆದ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ದಲಿತ ದಾಖಲಾತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ವಸ್ತುಸಂಗ್ರಹಾಲಯ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ಹಂತವನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸಲು 6.9 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದ್ದು, ಮಂಜೂರು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

ಮೈಸೂರು ಬೌದ್ಧ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಕೇಂದ್ರವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದೆ. ಚಾಮರಾಜನಗರ ಸಂಸದರಾದ ವಿ.ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಅವರು ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಮೈಸೂರಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿ  ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿಜಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಈ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹತ್ತು ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಂಜೂರು ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು ಎಂದು ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದರು.

ಭಾರತದ ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವದ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಡಾ. ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರು ಆದರ್ಶ ಮತ್ತು ವಾಸ್ತವವಾದದ ನೆಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ಪ್ರಜಾತಂತ್ರ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟು ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವವಾದಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ದೇಶದ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಗಹಿಸಿ ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯದಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ನೆಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತವಾದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಇಡೀ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿ ವಿಶ್ವಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾದವರು ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್. ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಮತ್ತು ಬಾಬಾಸಾಹೇಬ್ ಅವರ ನಡುವೆ ಪೂನಾ ಒಪ್ಪಂದವಾಗಿ ಒಂಭತ್ತು ದಶಕಗಳು ಕಳೆದಿರುವ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿಯ ನಡೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಮರ್ಶಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಅವಲೋಕಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಇದಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಒಂಭತ್ತು ದಶಕಗಳ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪಯಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಸರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಒಳಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ರಾಜಕಾರಣ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾದರೆ ಸಾಲದು, ಅದು ನೈಜ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಬೇಕು. ಬಾಬಾಸಾಹೇಬ್ ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ನಂತರ ಈ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಬಾಸಾಹೇಬರ ರೀತಿಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ, ನಾಯಕತ್ವ, ಚಿಂತನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಾವು ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆಯೇ? ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಂದಿನ ಯುವಸಮುದಾಯ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸುವವರು ಇದನ್ನರಿತು ತಾವುಗಳಿರುವ ನೆಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಬಾಸಾಹೇಬರ ಆಶಯವನ್ನು ಸಾಕಾರಗೊಳಿಸುವಂತಾಗಬೇಕು. ದಲಿತ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಗಟ್ಟಿನೆಲವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು.

ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ಇದನ್ನು ಸಾಧ್ಯಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ನಂಬಿದವರಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆಯೇ? ಹಾಗಾಗಿಯೇ ಇಂತಹ ಚರ್ಚೆಗಳು ಮೇಲಿಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರಬೇಕು, ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವನ್ನು ಬಾಬಾಸಾಹೇಬರು ಬಯಸಿದಂತೆ ಸಜ್ಜುಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕು. ಒಂಭತ್ತು ದಶಕಗಳ ಪಯಣ ತೃಪ್ತಿದಾಯಕವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಅತೃಪ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದೆನಿಸಿದೆ. ಬಾಬಾಸಾಹೇಬರ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಗಳ ನಂತರ ಕಾನ್ಸಿರಾಮ್‌ ಜಿ ಅವರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದಿವೆ. ಆದರೂ ದಲಿತ ರಾಜಕಾರಣ ಭಾರತದ ರಾಜಕಾರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾದ ಸ್ವರೂಪ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದರು.

ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ಬೇಕು:

ನವದೆಹಲಿಯ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಮುಖಸ್ಥ ಪ್ರೊ.ವಿವೇಕ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ದಲಿತರಿಗೆ ರಾಜಕೀಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇ.50ರಷ್ಟು ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ಬೇಕು. ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ, ಡಾ.ಬಿ.ಆರ್.ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದ್ದರು.ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವದ ಆಶಯ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ಆಗಿತ್ತು.  ಕ್ಯಾಬಿನೆಟ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ಚರ್ಚೆಗೆ ಬರಬೇಕು. ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಬೇಕು. ದಲಿತ ರಾಜಕಾರಣ ಸ್ವರೂಪ ಬದಲಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು.

Mysuru, September 24, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, today appealed to the Union Minister for State, Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Atawale to grant Rs.6.9 crore for the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Kendra.
He participated in a lecture program on the topic, “Political Reservation of Nine Decades: Phenomenon, IMpact and Changes,” organized by the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Research and Extension Center, University of Mysore, on the occasion of the Poona Agreement Day. He appealed the Union Minister to provide Rs. 6.9 crore to undertake the fourth phase of the Dalit Enrolment Kendra and Museum.
He also informed that the University has established the Buddha Research Center and Chamarajangara MP V. Srinivasa Prasad had urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his recent visit to Mysuru to grant a sum of Rs. 10 crore for the Kendra.
“In the history of Indian democracy, Dr. Ambedkar and Gandhiji have built a democratic country including all, based on principles of ethics and reality. Ambedkar is called as a democrat by birth. He understood the social system of the country and dedicated his entire life to give proper treatment to the society which was suffering from several stigmas, and became a visionary. The Poona agremeent was made about nine decades ago between Mahatma Gandhiji and Babasaheb Ambedkar, and this program is to analyze critically the political reservation in India,” he observed.
Prof. Vivek Kumar, Head, Soical Systems Research Center, New Delhi, in his address, said, 50% reservation should be provided to dalits in politics, for which Gandhiji and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar had strove. The aspiration of democracy was reservation. It should be discussed in the cabinet and come to implementation. The entire dalit political scenario should change.
Social Justice and Empowerment State Minister Ramdas Atawale spoke on the occasion. Centre Director Dr. S. Narendra Kumar, Prof. Dr.J. Somashekar and others were present.

ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ. ಜಿ.ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ICMR ಮಾರ್ಗಸೂಚಿಗಳನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸುವಾಗ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ಸಂಬಂಧವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾವು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಸಂವಹನವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವುದು ಬಹಳ ಸೂಕ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಹೊಸ ಔಷಧಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಳ ಅನ್ವೇಷಣೆಗೆ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯ ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಪ್ರಯೋಗ, ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನದ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಕೌನ್ಸಿಲ್ ಆಫ್ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ರಿಸರ್ಚ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಬಯೋಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಯ ಸೂತ್ರೀಕರಣ, ಸಮನ್ವಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಚಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಇರುವ ಒಂದು ಉನ್ನತ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ.‌ ಇದು ವಿಶ್ವದ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಹಳೆಯ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿದೆ. ಭಾಷಾಂತರ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಯು ಪ್ರಯೋಗಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನದ ಆವಿಷ್ಕಾರಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನಕಾರಿಯಾದ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಆರೈಕೆಗೆ ಹೊಸ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವಿಧಾನಗಳಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಪಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ.ಕೆ.ಎಸ್.ರಂಗಪ್ಪ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ವಸ್ತು ಹಾಗೂ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿ‌ಮಾಡುವುದೇ ಟ್ರಾನ್ಸಲೇಷನ್ ರಿಸರ್ಚ್  ಉದ್ದೇಶ . ಮೂಲ‌ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕ್ಲಿನಿಕಲ್ ರಿಸರ್ಚ್ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಇದು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಹೊಸ ಹೊಸ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ವಿಧಾನಗಳು, ಜ್ಞಾನ, ಅನ್ವಯಕಗಳು, ರೋಗಪತ್ತೆ ಯಂತ್ರಗಳು ಬರಬೇಕಿದೆ. ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ತಜ್ಞರು ಆಲೋಚಿಸಬೇಕಿದೆ. ಕ್ಲಿನಿಕಲ್ ಡಾಟಾವನ್ನು ಸಂಶೋಧಕರು ಬಳಕೆ‌ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.  ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದ ಕಿರುಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ವಪಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಧಾಕೃಷ್ಣನ್ ಅವರ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪುಷ್ಪ ನಮನ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಭಾರತದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಕವಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಚಿಂತಕರೆನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ರವೀಂದ್ರನಾಥ ಠಾಕೂರರು ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಧಾಕೃಷ್ಣರವರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಮಹಾನ್ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಪರಸ್ಪರರನ್ನು ಆಲಿಂಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು ಎಂದು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷದರ್ಶಿಗಳು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಮಹಾನ್ ಘಟನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೂ ಒಂದು ಎಂದು ಪ್ರೊ.ಜಿ.ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದರು.

ರಾಧಾಕೃಷ್ಣನ್ ಅವರು 1962ರಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ 41ನೇ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಗೊಂಡರು. ಆ ವರ್ಷದಿಂದಲೇ ನಾವು ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮದಿನವನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ದಿನವೆಂದು ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ರಾಧಾಕೃಷ್ಣನ್  ಅವರು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾಗಿ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯುವುದನ್ನು ಮರೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಬೈಬಲ್ ಓದುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯಿಂದ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಸೂತ್ರ, ಉಪನಿಷತ್ತು, ಭಗವದ್ಗೀತೆ, ಶಂಕರ, ರಾಮಾನುಜ, ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯ – ಇವರ ತತ್ವವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡರು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಹಿಂದೂ, ಬೌದ್ಧ, ಜೈನಧರ್ಮಗಳ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಂಡರು ಎಂದರು.

ಡಾ. ರಾಧಾಕೃಷ್ಣನ್ ಅವರು ಮೈಸೂರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕಲ್ಕತ್ತಾಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬೀಳ್ಕೊಟ್ಟ ವಿಧಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶವನ್ನು  ಎ.ಎನ್. ಮೂರ್ತಿರಾಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಬಂಧ ಒಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲು ಮನೋಜ್ಞವಾಗಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಸಮಾಜದ ಆಧಾರ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳು, ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ತರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲು ನಮಗೆ ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ವಕೀಲರು ಐಟಿ, ವೈದ್ಯರಿಲ್ಲ, ಐಎಎಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಸಂಶೋಧಕರು ಇಲ್ಲ, ಗಗನಯಾತ್ರಿ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ತೋರಿಸುವ ಹಾದಿ ಬಹುಮುಖ್ಯ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ನುಡಿದರು.

ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಿತು ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಬದುಕಿನ ಸಾರ್ಥಕತೆ ಕಾಣಬೇಕು-ಡಾ.ಪ್ರತಿಮಾ ಮೂರ್ತಿ.

ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ನರ ರೋಗ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕಿ ಡಾ.ಪ್ರತಿಮಾ ಮೂರ್ತಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ,  ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಎಂಬುದು ರಾತ್ರೋರಾತ್ರಿ ಸಿಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿರಂತರ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಬದ್ಧತೆ ಇದ್ದರಷ್ಟೇ ಅದು ಲಭಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಿತು ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಬದುಕಿನ ಸಾರ್ಥಕತೆ ಕಾಣಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕಿವಿಮಾತು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ತುಂಬಾ ಮುಖ್ಯ. ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಬೇಕು. ಈ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಒತ್ತಡ ಸಹಜ. ಇದರ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಮುಖ್ಯ. ಗುರಿ ಮುಟ್ಟುವುದಷ್ಟೆ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಅಲ್ಲ. ಬದುಕಿನ ವಿವಿಧ ಮಜಲುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾವು ಅನುಭವಿಸಬೇಕು. ಸಾಧನೆ ಹಾದಿಯನ್ನು ಒಂದು ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಂದು ಕೇವಲ ದುಡ್ಡೇ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಅನ್ನೋ ಹಾಗೆ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಮೌಲ್ಯ ಇಲ್ಲದಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಾಧನೆ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಾರ್ಥಕತೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಮುಖ್ಯ. ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಬದುಕು ನಮ್ಮದಾಗಬೇಕಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ತುಂಬಾ ಮುಖ್ಯ. ವಿಲತೆ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿನ ಮೊದಲ ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲು. ನಮ್ಮ ಬೌದ್ಧಿಕತೆ ಸಮತೋಲನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಬೇಕು. ನಿರಂತರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿಯೂ ಕೆಲವೊಮ್ಮೆ ಯೋಚಿಸಬೇಕು. ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕು. ವಿಲತೆಗೆ ಅಂಜಬೇಡಿ.  ಗುರಿಯೆಡೆ ನಿರಂತರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಇರಲಿ. ನಿಮಗೆ ನೀವೆ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿ ಎಂಬುದು ಮರೆಯದಿರಿ. ಜನರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆರೆಯಿರಿ. ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನು ಇತರರಿಗೂ ಹಂಚಿ ಎಂದರು.

ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶಕ್ತಿ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ. ಏನಾದರೂ ಸಾಧಿಸು. ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗರ ನೆನಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಎಂದು ಶುಭ ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು.

ಚಿನ್ಮಯ ಮಿಷನ್ ನ ಆದಿತ್ಯಾನಂದಾಜೀ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ಕುಲಸಚಿವ ಪ್ರೊ. ಆರ್. ಶಿವಪ್ಪ, ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾಂಗ ಕುಲಸಚಿವ ಪ್ರೊ.ಎ.ಪಿ.ಜ್ಞಾನಪ್ರಕಾಶ್,  ಸಿಂಡಿಕೇಟ್ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಈ.ಸಿ .ನಿಂಗರಾಜ್ ಗೌಡ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಇತರರು ಇದ್ದರು.

Mysuru, September 5, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “While teaching, all the teachers should think about the future of the students and provide them guidance,” observed Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore.
He participated in the Teachers Day program held at the Vignana Bhavana in the Manasa Gangotri campus today, and offered floral tributes to the portrait of former President of Indian Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, in whose memory Teachers Day is observed every year. “Ravindranath Tagore, who is known as one of the best poets of India had met Radhakrishnan in Mysore once. According to a few elder people they had embraced each other while they met. This is considered as one of the historic moment concerning the University of Mysore,” he said.
“S. Radhakrishnan became the President of India in 1962, when he was 41-years-old. We are observing the Teachers Day in his memory from 1962 itself. Despite all his duties, Radhakrishnan didn’t forget his duties as a teacher. Along with the Bible, he studied the Brahmasutra, Upanishads, Bhagawadgeetha, Shankara, Ramanuja, Madhwacharya’s texts and understood their principles. He also was well aware about the preaching of Hindu, Buddhism and Jain religions,” he explained.
Sri Adithyanandaji of the Chinmaya Mission was present. He also addressed the gathering, Prof. R. Shivappa, Registrar, University of Mysore, Prof. A.P. Jnanprakash, Registrar (Exams), Syndicate member E.C. Ningaraj Gowda and others were present.

ಪಾಲಿ ಇನ್ಸಿಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್ ಕಲಬುರಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಜೈನಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಕೃತ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಮಾನಸ ಗಂಗೋತ್ರಿಯ ಜೈನಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪಾಲಿಭಾಷೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದಿಷ್ಟು…

‘‘ಪಾಲಿ ಭಾಷೆಯು ಭಾರತದ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಭಾಷೆ. ಸಾಮ್ರಾಟ ಅಶೋಕನ ಶಾಸನಗಳು ಪಾಲಿ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಚನೆಯಾಗಿವೆ. ಬುದ್ಧನ ಧಮ್ಮಪದ ಪಾಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ತ್ರಿಪಿಟಕಗಳೂ ಪಾಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ, ಪ್ರಾಕೃತ ಮತ್ತು ಪಾಲಿ ಭಾಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಭಾರತದ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಬೌದ್ಧ ಧರ್ಮದ ಕೃತಿಗಳು ಪಾಲಿಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿವೆ. ಬುದ್ಧನನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಧಮ್ಮವನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಪಾಲಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಅಗತ್ಯ,’’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಇಂದು ಜಗತ್ತು ಅಶಾಂತಿ, ಅಹಿಂಸೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನರಳುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಗದ್ದಲ, ಕೋಲಾಹಲಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಕಳೆದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಗೌಜು ಗದ್ದಲಗಳಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತಿ ನೀಡುವ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಇರುವುದು ಧ್ಯಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾತ್ರ. ಈ ಧ್ಯಾನ ಮೌನವನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಬುದ್ಧನನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯುವುದು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಬುದ್ಧನನ್ನು ಅರಿಯಲು ಮತ್ತೆ ಪಾಲಿ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯುವುದು ಅಗತ್ಯ ಎಂದರು.

ಪಾಲಿ, ಪ್ರಾಕೃತ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಇವು ಮೂರು ಸೋದರ ಭಾಷೆಗಳು. ತುಂಬ ಹಿಂದೆ ಈ ಮೂರೂ ಭಾಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮಾಡುವ ಕ್ರಮವಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಮೂರು ಭಾಷೆಗಳ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯವು ಪುರಾತನ ಭಾರತದ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿವೆ. ಇಂದು ಪಾಲಿ ಭಾಷೆ ಭಾರತದ ಕೆಲವೇ ಕೆಲವು ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧ್ಯಯನಕ್ಕಿದೆ. ವಿವಿಧ ಬೌದ್ಧ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಧರ್ಮ ಗ್ರಂಥಗಳ ಭಾಷೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದಲ್ಲದೆ ಪಾಲಿ ಭಾರತ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಯನದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಭಾಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲೊಂದಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅದು ಪ್ರಚಾರದ ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ಲಿಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಪಾಲಿ ಭಾಷೆ ಕೇವಲ ಗ್ರಾಮ್ಯ ಭಾಷೆಯಾಗಿರದೆ ಪರಿಷ್ಕಾರ ಹೊಂದಿದ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ರೂಢಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಭಾಷೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತೆಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ತ್ರಿಪಿಟಕ ಮುಂತಾದ ಧರ್ಮಗ್ರಂಥಗಳ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಒಂದೇ ಸಾಕು. ಪೂರ್ವಾಶ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಛಂದಸ್ಸಿನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಒಲವಿದ್ದ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಭಿಕ್ಷುಗಳು ಬುದ್ಧವಚನವನ್ನು ಕೇವಲ ಕೆಲ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವೇದಗಳ ಛಂದಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುವಾದಿಸಲು ಬುದ್ಧಭಗವಾನರ ಅನುಮತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವ ಸಂದರ್ಭವೊಂದು ವಿನಯಪಿಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಪ್ರಾಕೃತ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತವು ಇವುಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಒಂದು ಹಂತ ಮುಂದಿದೆ. ಈ ಮೂರು ಭಾಷೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ಅಧ್ಯಯನದಿಂದ ಭಾರತದ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣತೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇವತ್ತು ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿರುವ ಪಾಲಿ ಭಾಷೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರವು ನಮ್ಮ ಯುವ ಮನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲಿಭಾಷೆಯ ಕಲಿಕೆಗೆ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಮೂಡಿಸಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪುರಸ್ಕೃತರಾದ ಡಾ.ಗುರುಪಾದ ಕೆ. ಹೆಗಡೆ, ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ.ಮಲ್ಲೇಪುರಂ ಜಿ. ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ, ಜೈನ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಕೃತ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಡಾ.ವಿಜಯಕುಮಾರಿ ಎಸ್. ಕರಿಕಲ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಇತರರು ಇದ್ದರು,

ನಂತರ ಪಾಲಿಭಾಷಾ ಸ್ವರೂಪ ವಿಚಾರ, ತ್ರಿಪಿಟಕಗಳ ಪರಿಚಯ, ಪಾಲಿ-ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ-ಪ್ರಾಕೃತ, ಪಾಲಿ ನಿಘಂಟುಗಳು ಮುಂತಾದ ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನುರಿತ ತಜ್ಞರು ವಿಚಾರ ಮಂಡಿಸಿದರು.

Mysuru, August 19, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “Knowing Pali language is essential to understand Buddha and Dhamma,” observed Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore.
He inaugurated a workshop on the Pali language, organized by the Pali Institute, Kalaburagi in association with the Jainology and Prakrit Division, University of Mysore, held at the Manasa Gangotri today.
“Pali is one of the ancient languages of India. Samrat Ashoka’s inscriptions are also written in the Pali language. Buddha’s preachings are in that language. Along with Sanskrit, Prakrit and Pali languages were taught in India during ancient times. Hence, to know more about Buddha we need to learn Pali,” he added.
“Today the entire world is burning under violence. Our lives are passing amidst quarrels and confusion. Only meditation has the strength to give us peace. To achieve it we need to understand Buddha,” he said.
