ಮೈಸೂರು ಎಂದರೆ ಅರಮನೆಗಳ ನಗರ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ರಾಜಧಾನಿ, ಪಿಂಚಣಿದಾರರ ಸ್ವರ್ಗ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಗ್ಗಳಿಕೆಗಳು ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಕಳೆದ ಕೆಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಸ ಗುರುತು ಸಿಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸಯ್ಯಾಜಿರಾವ್ ರಸ್ತೆ, ನಜರ್‌ಬಾದ್, ಗೋಕುಲಂ, ಜಯಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಪುರಂ, ಕುವೆಂಪುನಗರ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ನಗರದ ವಿವಿಧ ಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರೆಸ್ಟೋರೆಂಟ್‌ಗಳು, ಕೆಫೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಫುಡ್ ಔಟ್‌ಲೆಟ್‌ಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಮೈಸೂರು ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ “ರೆಸ್ಟೋರೆಂಟ್ ನಗರ”ವಾಗಿ ರೂಪಾಂತರಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ಒಂದು ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಂತ ಜೀವನಶೈಲಿ, ವಿಶಾಲ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯ ವಾತಾವರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಮೈಸೂರು ಇಂದು ಯುವ ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳು, ಬಾಣಸಿಗರು, ಬೇಕರಿ ಮಾಲೀಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ಟ್‌ಅಪ್ ಆಹಾರ ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿದರೆ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಬಾಡಿಗೆ, ಸಾವಿರಾರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ವರ್ಷಪೂರ್ತಿ ಬರುವ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರು ಈ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಕಾರಣಗಳಾಗಿವೆ.
