ಇಂದು ಸಿಎಂ ಬಿಎಸ್ ವೈ ಅವರನ್ನ ಭೇಟಿಯಾದ ನಿಯೋಗವು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಿನಿಮೋತ್ಸವ ಸತತ ಕಳೆದ 12 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಯಶಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಕಂಡಿದೆ. ವಿಶ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ 5000 ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರೋತ್ಸವಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತವೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇವಲ 45 ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರೋತ್ಸವಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಾನ್ಯತೆ ದೊರೆತಿದೆ. ಇದೀಗ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಿನಿಮೋತ್ಸವಕ್ಕೆ ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಾನ್ಯತೆ ದೊರೆಯುವ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಗೋಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ  ಮಾನ್ಯತೆ ದೊರೆತಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ವಿಶ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ 46ನೇ ಮಾನ್ಯತೆ ಪಡೆದ ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರೋತ್ಸವ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಗ್ಗಳಿಕೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ 13 ನೇ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಿನಿಮೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲು ಸಮ್ಮತಿ ನೀಡುವಂತೆಯೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಅನುದಾನವನ್ನು ದೊರಕಿಸಿಕೊಡುವಂತೆಯೂ ನಿಯೋಗ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಬಿಎಸ್ ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪಗೆ ಮನವಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿತು.

ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇವಲ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರೋತ್ಸವಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತವೆ. ಗೋವಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಉಳಿದಂತೆ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಬಂಗಾಳ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಮತ್ತು ಕೇರಳ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರಗಳು ಚಲನನಚಿತ್ರೋತ್ಸವಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸುತ್ತಿವೆ ಎಂಬ ಅಂಶವನ್ನು ನಿಯೋಗವು ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದಿತು.

Bengaluru, Dec. 1,2020 (www.justkannada.in): The 13th Bengaluru International Film Festival will create an atmosphere to attract the audience towards the cinema theatres again. Chief Minister B.S. Yedyurappa has given his nod to an appeal made by the delegation led by Sri Sunil Puranik, President, Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy, to permit to conduct the 13th Bengaluru International Film Festival in the third or fourth week of February 2021.
The delegation met the Chief Minister today and explained to him the success of the film festival and sought his permission to conduct it and also to provide grants.
The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce President D.R. Jayaraj, Art Director N. Vidyashankar, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation President, and renowned film actress Smt. Shruti, Information and Public Information Department Commissioner Dr. P.S. Harsha, senior journalist and film critic Muralidhar, treasurer, and Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy Registrar R. Himantharaju were in the delegation.
