Youth should join hands for plastic-free campaign: UoM VC

Mysuru, June 8, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): University of Mysore Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, today urged the youth to join hands with the plastic-free campaign.
He launched the ‘Plastic-free Gangotri Campaign’ organized as part of the World Environment Day by the University of Mysore Backward Castes Research Students Forum, held at the Manasa Gangotri campus, by planting a sapling. The program was organized with an objective of creating awareness among the students about the ill-effects of usage of plastic and imbalance caused on the environment from plastic production.
In his address, Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar said that everyone should use alternative material for plastic and also think about alternative production. “This campaign is very good. All the students should join hands in it and make it successful,” he urged.
