ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಅಶೋಕಪುರಂ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿಎಸ್ ಐ ಆಗಿ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸ್ಮಿತಾ ಎಂಬುವವರು ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಮುಖಂಡ ಅಪ್ಪಣ್ಣ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಪುರಂ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ದೂರು ನೀಡಿದ್ದು ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಎಫ್ ಐಆರ್ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಯುವದಸರಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದೋಬಸ್ತ್ ಗಾಗಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನ ನಿಯೋಜನೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ಧ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ಸಚಿವರಿಗೆ ಕಾಯ್ದಿರಿಸಿದ ಜಾಗವನ್ನ ತೋರಿಸಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪ್ಪಣ್ಣ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಗರನ್ನ ತಡೆದಾಗ ನನಗೆ ಅವಾಚ್ಯ ಶಬ್ದಗಳಿಂದ ನಿಂದಿಸಿ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಅಪ್ಪಣ್ಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಚರರ ವಿರುದ್ದ ಕಾನೂನು ರೀತಿ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ದೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿಎಸ್ ಐ ಸ್ಮಿತಾ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Attempt to attack Woman PSI, abused verbally: FIR registered against BJP leader
Mysuru, October 3, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): A women police officer has registered a complaint against BJP leader Appanna, alleging him of verbally abusing her while she was on duty during the Yuva Dasara program, held in Mysuru as part of the historic Mysuru Dasara celebrations.
Police Sub Inspector Smitha, posted at the Ashokpuram Police Station in Mysuru has registered a complaint at the Lakshmipuram Police Station against BJP leader Appanna.
“I was deputed to provide security at the Yuva Dasara program. I showed the seat to the District Incharge Minister who arrived to the program. At the same time Appanna and his followers were stopped, following which he verbally abused me and prevented me from carrying out my duties. Hence, I request you to kindly initiate legal action against Appanna and his aides,” PSI Smitha alleged in her complaint.
