UoM VC distributes gold medals to rank holders

Mysuru, February 25, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “Youth empowerment means developing self-confidence among the students, encouraging them to take own decisions,” opined Prof. Dr. S. Chandrashekar Shetty, Vice-Chancellor, Adichuchanagiri University.
He participated in the 8th Graduation Day ceremony held at the Platinum Jubilee auditorium at the Yuvaraja College (autonomous) of the University of Mysore, in Mysuru today. Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, distributed gold medals, endowment prizes, and certificates to the rank holders.
In his address, Prof. Dr. S. Chandrashekar Shetty, Vice-Chancellor, Adichuchanagiri University expressed his view that India has made a significant achievement in the higher education sector and China is in second place. “Our country is leading in utilizing the scientific and technical human resources. There are many Indians who are serving at the international level,” he added.
“In the global discover index India was in the 46th place in 2021 and in the 50th place in the world in innovations according to the Bloomberg Innovation Index 2021. In fact, India is the only country in South Asia which is existing in this area. Likewise, India is in 10th place in the Global Cyber Security Index 2020. India is also contributing 40% of the total IT production in the world,” he explained.
“The Govt. of India has been cooperative in rejuvenating the agricultural sector for technology-based green revolution. India has the aim of becoming one of the five best scientific powers in the world through technology and innovations. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will start the first-ever human space odyssey probably this year.”
Gold medal achievers
Ananth N. Rao (1 gold, 12 endowment prizes), Suprija M. Kondaja (1 gold medal, 8 endowment prizes), Sanjeev Bhardwaj (10 endowment prizes), Sneha Abraham (8 endowment prizes), Nitish A.S., Shivraj M., Gayathri P.B., Kaveri C.V., Joshika G., Mahima L., Jayashri P.B., Ujwal B.R., Rakesh H.K., Madhusudan S. received one medal each.
Exam Regulating officer and Principal Dr. B.N. Yashoda was present.
