Tourists flock Myuru Zoo after lifting lockdown: Financial position improves

Mysuru, August 2, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The Chamarajendra Zoological Garden in Mysuru has registered an increase in visitors following lifting of lockdown, resulting in improving its financial condition.
People are flocking the zoo. There were more than 6,000 visitors to the zoo on Sunday bringing smile on the faces of the employees of the zoo. As a result of this, the financial condition of the zoo authority has improved according to Karnataka State Zoo Authority Chairman L.R. Mahdevaswamy.
Speaking in Mysuru about this he informed that the State Government has released grants as per the demand. “We had appealed the Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai to release an additional Rs. 23 crore grant. Then CM B.S. Yediyurappa had released Rs. 8 crore. However, the present Chief Minister has assured of releasing the pending amount after cabinet formation. As of now the financial position is improving. A Orangutan and Gorilla are supposed to arrive from Singapore within the next 2-3 days,” he informed.
