Rahul Gandhi writes to CM Bommai recommending treatment for injured elephant calf

Bengaluru, October 6, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): The Congress party’s ‘Bharath Jodo Yatra’ was halted for two days due to the historic Mysuru Dasara. In the meantime Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited the Tiger Conservatory Forest in Nagarahole, where he found an injured elephant calf. He wrote to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai requesting for treatment of the injured elephant calf, for which the latter has responded positively.
Speaking in Bengaluru today, the Chief Minister informed that the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has written a letter to him regarding an injured elephant and it’s calf at the Nagarahole forest. “He has requested me to make arrangements for the treatment of the elephant and its calf. I have spoken with the officials concerned regarding this and they will definitely make the required arrangements,” he said.
In his response to the alternative padayatra in reply to the Congress party’s Bharath Jodo Yatra, the Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai informed that they had made all the arrangements earlier itself. “Our yatra should have commenced in my or B.S. Yediyurappa’s leadership. Due to the Mysuru Dasara program it is delayed. There is no threat to the BJP from the Congress party’s Bharath Jodo Yatra,” he added.
