Potholes on Bengaluru roads: AAP takes out unique protest

Bengaluru, October 21, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today took out a unique protest against the potholes-filled roads in Bengaluru, by decorating a few potholes on the roads with rangoli, flowers, and also performed aarathi pooja.

The AAP members, led by AAP State Convener Prithvi Reddy and Bengaluru City President Mohan Dasari, took out the protest under the title ‘Rastegundi Habba’ (pothole festival) in all the assembly constituencies of the city.

Addressing the public during the protest AAP State Convener Prithvi Reddy said, “The State Government has spent a whopping sum of Rs. 20,060 crores on road repairs in Bengaluru in the last five years. But the condition of the roads in the capital city has remained the same. Road accidents and deaths have become common in the city nowadays. We demand the government to investigate so that the public will come to know where is all the taxpayers money flowing. The government should issue a white paper on the road development program funds,” he said.
