Bengaluru, November 11, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today unveiled the 108 ft tall statue of the founder of Bangalore ‘Nadaprabhu Kempegowda’ near the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru today.
A sum of Rs. 84 crore has been spent for the statue and a theme park. Governor of Karnataka Thawar Chand Gehlot, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi, A. Narayanaswamy, former CMs S.M. Krishna, B.S. Yediyurappa and other leaders were present on the occasion.
About 100 tonnes of bronze and 120 metal is used to build the mammoth statue. The sword itself weighs 4,000 kgs.
