Next elections in the State will be held under the leadership of CM Bommai: Minister Ashwathnarayan’s repsonse to Amit Shah’s statement

Mysuru, September 7,2021 (www.justkannada.in): “When there are leaders in any party everything will run under their leadership,” opined Higher Education Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwathnarayan.
In his response to BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement that the next elections in the state would be held under the leadership of Basavaraj Bommai, Minister Ashwathanarayan said, “today Bommai is our Chief Minister and Nalin Kumar Kateel is the President of the Party. The party will function under their guidance and leadership. The party High Command will decide under whose leadership should the next elections be held. Let us discuss it now.”
In his response to the question of extending the Visa of Afghan students, he informed that the External Affairs Minister would decide about it. “If the visa period has expired let them apply. The Department of External Affairs will examine. However, we won’t provide visas for just one month’s duration. They have availed visas for educational purposes. I don’t think we should interfere in this matter,” he said.
In his response about the implementation of the National Education Policy, the Higher Education Minister replied that it would be implemented from the present year itself as decided. “There are 15 years for its complete implementation. As this issue is already under discussion for the last 7-8 years, there is no need to collect opinions. The Congress party is unnecessarily creating confusion in this matter. The NEP allows the development of all, including the backward castes. But the Congress leaders don’t want overall development. That is why they are creating confusion and opposing it,” he added.
