Mysuru, May 25, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Mysuru District Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri today informed that people with comorbidities will have lesser immunity and chances of black fungus disease is more among such people and hence there is a need to give more focus and monitor such patients.Mysuru DC instructs officials concerned to focus more on patients with comorbidities
In a virtual interaction program held today, she informed that there are 2.4 lakh people in the district who are above 60 years of age. Among them, 64,473 people are suffering from hypertension, 75,056 from diabetes, 10,226 from various heart-related diseases, 906 cancer patients, 546 kidney-related diseases, and 162 who are on dialysis. Hence, she instructed the Tahasildars to keep monitoring these patients more. She also instructed the officials concerned to give more focus on such people with comorbidities during the survey.
