University of Mysore sign MoU with Indian Institute of Chemical Technology

Mysore, jan.12, 2021: University of Mysore sign MoU, in the area of Chemical Biology on Tuesday day between Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, a constituent laboratory of CSIR located Hyderabad, Telangana.

CSIR-IICT is a premier R & D Institute, which has been established to carry out research in chemical sciences leading to innovative processes for a variety of products necessary for human welfare such as food, health, energy and environment and the conduct of R&D work is fully geared to meet the requirements of technology development, transfer and commercialization.

MYSORE-university-MOU-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology- CSIR-Hyderabad- Telangana.

This MoU which is for five (5) years is established to provide collaborative cooperation through:
i) Collaborative Research Programs in specific fields of interest​
CSIR-IICT and UOM will jointly identify specific fields to conduct collaborative research programs of mutual interest and benefit to both parties.
ii) Student Training Programs
Training programs for students will be explored and organized as per institute guidelines.
iii) Faculty Exchange Programs
Exchange programs for faculty will be explored and conducted accordingly which will be beneficial mutually for both the parties.
iv) Sharing of Instrumentation Facility
The facilities shall be used as per the prevailing guidelines of the institutes.
v) Submission of Joint projects

Project proposals may be jointly submitted to DBT, CSIR, DST, ICMR or any other funding agencies for extramural funding for carrying out further studies of selected project/molecules.

Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar Vice chancellor, signed the MOU on behalf of University and S. Chandrashekar, Director, IICT, Hyderabad signed on behalf of the institute. Prof. Rangappa, distinguished professor of Vijnana Bhavan and Dr Chandra Nayak, Coordinator of Vijnana bhavan, Dr Shobith, Research Director of Adichunchanagiri university , Dr CD Mohan, assistant professor, Molecular biology were present.
