ಮೈಸೂರು ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಳಿದ ಕಮಲ: ನೂತನ ಮೇಯರ್ ಆಗಿ ಸುನಂದ ಪಾಲನೇತ್ರಾ ಆಯ್ಕೆ.

ಮೈಸೂರು,ಆಗಸ್ಟ್,25,2021(www.justkannada.in):  ತೀವ್ರ ಕುತೂಹಲ ಕೆರಳಿಸಿದ್ದ ಮೈಸೂರು ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ಮೇಯರ್ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಗೆಲುವು ಸಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದು ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೇರಿದೆ.

ಬಹುಮತದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿ ಸುನಂದಾ ಪಾಲನೇತ್ರ ನೂತನ ಮೇಯರ್ ಆಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಳೆದ ಬಾರಿ ಕೈತಪ್ಪಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆಯುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸುನಂದಾ ಪಾಲನೇತ್ರ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 23 ನೇ ಅವಧಿಗೆ 35 ನೇ ಮೇಯರ್ ಆಗಿ ಸುನಂದಾ ಪಾಲನೇತ್ರ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಕೌನ್ಸಿಲ್ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಮೇಯರ್ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿ ಸುನಂದ ಪಾಲನೇತ್ರ ಅವರಿಗೆ 26 ಮತಗಳು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿ ಶಾಂತಕುಮಾರಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ 22 ಮತಗಳು ಚಲಾವಣೆಯಾದವು. ಜೆಡಿಎಸ್ ತಟಸ್ಥವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಮೇಯರ್ ಪಟ್ಟ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಪಾಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಸಚಿವ ಎಸ್ ಟಿ ಸೋಮಶೇಖರ್ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಯಾವುದೇ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಹಿಡಿದಿದೆ. ಜನತಾದಳಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದ ಎಸ್ ಟಿ ಸೊಮಶೇಖರ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಜೆಡಿಎಸ್ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಘೋಷಣೆ ಕೂಗಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಸಭಾತ್ಯಾಗ

ಇನ್ನು ಸೋಲು ಖಚಿತವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಸಭಾತ್ಯಾಗ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಜೆಡಿಎಸ್ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ದ್ರೋಹಿ ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಹೊರ ನಡೆದರು.  ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ಭಾರತ್ ಮಾತಾ ಕೀ ಜೈ ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಣೆ ಕೂಗಿದರು. ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಘೋಷಣೆ ಕೂಗಿದ ವೇಳೆ ಜೆಡಿಎಸ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ತಟಸ್ಥರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

BJP emerges victorious in Mysuru mayoral elections: Sunanda Palanehtra elected new Mayor
Mysuru, August 25, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The BJP has bagged the Mysuru Mayoral election results by registering victory for the first time in MCC.
BJP has emerged victorious with a majority and BJP candidate Sunanda Palanethra has been announced as the new Mayor of Mysuru. She had lost the chance last time. She is the 35th Mayor of Mysuru.
Sunanda Palanethra received 26 votes against Congress candidate Shantakumari who received 22 votes. However, JDS was stagnant.
Mysuru District In-charge Minister S.T. Somashekar arrived at the MCC and congratulated all the corporators and members. He thanked the JDS party for being stagnant.
The Congress members left the venue as soon as their failure was confirmed. They shouted slogans against JDS calling the JDS party as unfaithful. BJP members were seen shouting ‘Bharat Maata ki Jai.’
