Mumbai Karnataka to be named as Kitturu Karnataka during the next cabinet meeting: CM Bommai

Bengaluru, November 1, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Chief Minister Basvaraj Bommai today informed that Mumbai Karnataka would be declared as ‘Kitturu Karnataka’ during the next cabinet meeting.
Addressing the Kannada Rajyotsava program held at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru today, Chief Minister Bommai informed that the government has decided to name the Mumbai Karnataka region as ‘Kitturu Karnataka.’ “We should mention it is as ‘Kitturu Karnataka,’ even when the Mumbai Karnataka controversy is present. We will declare it as ‘Kitturu Karnataka’ during the next cabinet meeting,” he added.
“My hearty wishes to all the citizens of the State on the occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava. It is my wish that the Kannada language should get priority in all the sectors. We should grandly celebrate Kannada Rajyotsava. Every Kannadiga should compulsorily speak in Kannada daily. Our language has the power of uniting all of us. We should all protect our mother ‘Kannada,’ and we should strive to develop it. If our language becomes strong, our State will also become strong,” he said.
“In the coming days, efforts will be made to reach out Kannada literature at the national level, teach Kannada to all those who don’t know our language in the State, teach Kannada to all the students at all the levels and provide job opportunities to Kannadigas. Kannada and Karnataka both will develop when we fulfill all these factors. More prominence has been given to Kannada in the new National Education Policy,” he added.
