Minister S.T. Somashekar hints on possibility of extension of lockdown

Mysuru, Apr. 28, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The second wave of the COVID-19 Pandemic is spreading across the country at an alarming rate, as a result of which the State Government has imposed 14 days Janata Curfew in the state. In the meantime, Minister for Cooperation and Mysuru District In-charge Minister S.T. Somashekar today hinted at the possibility of extension of the lockdown.
Speaking in Mysuru today the Minister S.T. Somashekar explained that extension of the lockdown might become inevitable. “The State Government has presently imposed 14 days lockdown across the state based on the opinion and advice of the technical committee to break the pandemic chain. Replying to a question on the scarcity of ventilators, oxygen and Remdesivir injections in Mysuru, the Minister explained everything will be set right soon as Mysuru will shortly be receiving 100 ventilators, 20 oxygen cylinders, and more than 900 Remdesivir Injections.
