Midday meals to begin in schools from Oct. 21: Education Minister B.C. Nagesh hints on commencement of 1st to 5th standards after Dasara

Bengaluru, October 11, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Primary and Secondary Education Minister B.C. Nagesh has informed that all preparations are being made to commence the primary schools from 1st to 5th standards after the Dasara festival.
Addressing a press meet in Bengaluru today he informed that a technical committee meeting will be held after the Dasara festival to discuss commencing the primary classes in schools. “We will request the technical committee to give us permission to start the classes. If they refuse we have decided to ask them to allow atleast to start the classes from 3rd to 5th standard,” he said.
He also informed that the midday meal program would be recommenced after October 21, as the schools are closed till October 20 due to Dasara vacation.
In his response to the confusion over the school fees, the Minister replied that several parents are demanding to form a School Fee Regulation Committee like it is in other states. We are holding discussions about the same in our state and will take a decision regarding this after getting the fee model report from other states.
