Koppal, March 02, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Thousands of people in the country have been left in a lurch due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and lockdown, many of them have lost jobs and the condition of the labour class has still not improved.
In such a situation here is a person who has set an example for all those who have lost hope. Murad Begum, a bank employee is a resident of Gangavathi in Koppal District. She has experience of working in a few bank. Earlier to the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic she was working at the American Express Bank in Bengaluru. Like many others, she also lost her job and returned to Gangavathi. She started doing agriculture in her 4-acre land here. As she was aware of the banking business she also was aware that she also has to transform as a businessman along with growing agricultural crop. She started growing various types of vegetables and greens. Slowly she started a poultry farm and started rearing several types of chicken that are in demand including Jawaari chicken, Turkey chicken, and Kowjaga chicken. Presently she is selling about 1,500 chicken every month and has plans to increase the sale to 4,000 chicken in the coming days. According to her even if you get Rs.10 profit from every chicken you can easily earn Rs.40,000 per month. The Turkey eggs have a lot of demand and it is being sold at around Rs. 100 each. She has also constructed six vermicompost pits in the agriculture field for producing vermicompost.
