Contribution of Swami Vivekananda for the upliftiment of the society is immense: Prof. G. Hemanthkumar

Mysuru, January 04, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “Swami Vivekananda preached the divinity of the soul, religious harmony, universal brotherhood, integrity, devotion towards work, and importance of leadership qualities. He devoted his entire life for the upliftment of the society through his preaching,” opined Prof. G. Hemanthkumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore.
He participated in the ‘Viveka Utsava’ organized by the Youth for Seva, in association with the GSS Yoga, held at the Ramakrishna Ashrama in Yadavagiri, Mysuru. In his address, he opined that Swami Vivekananda was a disciple of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. “He used to contact his guru to get solutions to his several doubts. Ramakrishna Paramahamsa used to answer all his doubts. Vivekananda was a scholar, saint, thinker, philosopher, and writer in contemporary India. Swami Vivekananda was the first saint to visit America. His speech at Chicago in 1893 is remembered even today,” he opined.
Sri Muktidanandaji Maharaj, President, Ramakrishna Ashrama, Swami Shivakantanandaji Maharaj, Srihari, Founder, GSS, Institution, Lakshminarayana Shenoy, and others were present.
