Cong. protest against price hike: DKS, Siddaramaiah takes out ‘Bullock Cart’ jatha to Vidhana Soudha

Bengaluru, September 13, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The State Assembly session is commencing today. The opposition party leaders are all set on attacking the ruling party based on several issues. In the meanwhile, the Congress party has organized a ‘Bullock Cart’ jatha to Vidhana Soudha, opposing the increase in prices of fuel and essential commodities.
KPCC leaders have expressed their opposition and ire about the constant increase in prices of all essential commodities on the State and Union Government, by traveling to the Vidhana Soudha on bullock carts from their residences in Bengaluru. KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar and leader of the opposition in the Assembly, Siddaramaiah left to Vidhana Soudha in a bullock cart from the residence of the former in Sadashivanagar today.
Speaking on the occasion, KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar informed the media persons that they are working on the behalf of the media. “Both the State and Union governments have failed in controlling the prices of essential commodities, while the people are reeling under problems, especially that has arisen due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. But the government has increased the sorrows and sufferings of the people by increasing the prices. Hence, we will continue our struggle till the government steps down,” he said.
